🔴IPVANISH SECRET SETTING FOUND !

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “🔴IPVANISH SECRET SETTING FOUND !”.
Now, if you’re somebody that takes your privacy very seriously, then a VPN status indicator is something that I would definitely recommend, and this basically shows you A visual representation on your fire stick or your Android TV telling you whether your VPN is connected or not, and if You can see that your VPN has dropped. You can quickly, then re-establish that connection. Now there are a couple of free VPN status indicators that I have reviewed on my channel, but would you believe it now? The latest version of ipvanish have actually baked this directly into their product. Now. What this basically means is without installing any third-party utility. I can now see directly on the home screen of my fire stick if my ipvanish is connected or not now to get this process working typically you’d have to type in an ADB command just to assign those permissions, so the indicator can appear on the top of Your home screen, but, as you guys know, on the tduk channel, we try to make things as easy easy as possible.

So let me now show you the complete process, which doesn’t actually require you to type in any manual ADB command. So please do take a moment to hit that, like button make sure you hit that subscribe button. So, with all of that being said, let’s go if you’re new to the channel and you want to stay up to date with the latest tech tutorials.

The latest fire. Stick Android and Android TV tips and tricks. Then please do subscribe and hit the like button. It’S a small click from you, but it makes a big difference to me.

Thank you. So I’m doing my demonstration on the third generation fight TV Cube, but you can follow this process on any other Amazon device that has ipvanish installed and just to confirm on my device. We can see that I’m running version 4.5.015908, so this version definitely has the new update.

As we can see up here. I now have the VPN status indicator. Now, when I click on that we can see. I don’t get any messages about the permissions, because I’ve already assigned the correct permissions to this application, and I wish you the step-by-step instructions on how you can do that without typing in any manual ADB Commands. Now there is a slight bug with this version I mean.

Maybe it’s just their early implementation of this feature, but we can see I’ve got the status indicator on. That’S fine, Now where’s his transparency. You can basically specify the transparency of the indicator and, ideally, as you can see there, it should be gray when it’s off and once you make the VPN connection, it should shine that kind of green color. But my device I’ve got the VPN connected, but you can see that the color doesn’t actually change so it does seem to be slightly buggy, but I’m hoping they can fix that with a further update now the way I know it’s working on my devices.

Let’S just ignore the colors, if I could hide on connect. So if I say that I don’t always want to see the indicator, I just want to see it if my VPN is disconnected. So if I click on this, we can see that the icon now disappears because on my device, I’ve actually established a VPN connection. If I press back, as you can see there now for a quick test, if I actually disconnect my VPN, that indicator should now come back on, because it’s alerting me that I don’t have any VPN connection activated.

So, let’s now click on disconnect. Let’S press the select button on that advocacy straight away. The indicator comes back, so that’s basically how we can get around this slight bug whereby the colors are not actually changing properly once your VPN gets activated, but we can see now if I’m browsing on the home screen or opening up applications. As long as I see that dot on the bottom right, that means on my device, I have no VPN running as soon as I click on connect in a couple of seconds once I get my new IP address that indicator disables.

So that’s how easy it is to use. Let me now show you how you can assign those permissions. So if I disconnect again now on your device, when you don’t have the correct permissions, you’ll click on settings, you go down to the VPN status indicator and when you click on that you’ll see you get this prompt here telling you that you need to assign the Permissions to draw over applications the easy way to do it is we can use a special application called Android permission manager. This is a free application.

It’S GUI based and using this application we can very easily Grant various permissions to various applications on our device. Let me show you how that works, which looks like this, so it’s called permission manager X, and I will show you how you can get this on all of your devices. Let’S open that up and we saw this application for the first time it will do a quick scan of all the applications on your list. Then it’ll ask you that how do you want to assign these special permissions to make these changes on your device? Obviously, we don’t have root access, so we’re going to set ADV.

Let’S click on OK, let’s press down on the remote a few times, I’m going to select the option for ADB access basically attain this application that we’re going to use ADB to make those changes on our device. Let’S press the select button, we should now see the prompt as per normal. Let’S click on always allow click on OK and that’s pretty much it guys. I now have access to see all of the applications on my fire stick and I can now Grant explicit permissions to each of these applications giving various different permissions now. The only slight bug with this application is is when you’re scrolling down you can actually see whereabouts.

You are in the list, but basically the last application you see in the list. That’S where the cursor is so, as you can see, I’m pressing down on the remote keep pressing down and for a test here we can see, for example, here is app opener. If I press the select button that opens it up, and I can now change the permissions for the application – let’s go back, because what we’re looking for is ipvanish, so keep scrolling down, and once you see ipvanish as a loss, application in the list will know.

That’S the one that’s currently highlighted, I think we’re almost there here. We are so that’s the last application in the list there. I’M now going to press select, and I can now see all of these individual permissions that I can then very easily enable just by clicking on the toggle and the exact permission that we want to enable is the system alert windows. So that’s the permission that allows your application to draw on top of other applications. So again, if I press down a few times, so that’s one two, three four: if I press the select button now, oh I’ve actually gone one further down. So, let’s press back again go up one now. Hopefully this is the right one selected. So when I press the select button here, we are and I’m now going to select granted so I’m granting my ipvanish to permission to draw over other applications.

Let’S click on granted. Let’S click on; OK, that’s pretty much it guys! So we’ve now, given that permission, which means if I now press the home key, if I now open up ipvanish, if I go back to the settings, go down into the VPN status indicator and if the process has worked, I shouldn’t see any errors about permission. Let’S click on that and there we are guys so no errors, which means we have the correct permissions. I can now select the on button to turn the indicator on and we have the option selected here that hide the indicator when connected, which means right now, because we can see the indicator my VPN is currently not enabled.

Zero. Two, let’s type that in and click on, go now when you get to my save head over to the hamburger menu, which is one of the three lines.
