These could be the New Wireless Champs...

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “These could be the New Wireless Champs…”.
Look at that! That’S a friendly, looking cop there’s no place like Tim’s, I’m excited by what’s in front of me today. This is a smart noise, canceling headphone from a company that has specialized in audiophile grade headphones prior to this, that company focal the batis, and if that doesn’t sound fancy to you, I mean it does sound fancy to you. You can probably imagine we’re looking at a premium headphone after you hear the model name now. This is coming courtesy of headphones.com and they are your spot for premium headphones. If you want to step your game up, if you want to approach something special, a little bit more unique, it’s not a headphone that you’re gon na see every single person wearing, and you can actually select a headphone that sort of suits your own personal, listening characteristics And styles and the type of music you listen to the profile, the sound signature that you would like to have, whether your budget is 500 or 5 000 they’ve got the mind-blowing brands and styles to choose from.

They carry iems Dax amps speakers. If you’re looking to get into the audiophile world and realm you’re gon na, do it on headphones.com, this is crazy. It’S listed in the specs here, 365 day return policy. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before I’ll have the links in the description you can check out the whole catalog.

But today it’s about the batis French design. I told you it was fancy Qualcomm, aptx adaptive, active noise, canceling, spcaac and aptx adaptive, as mentioned DAC USB audio. So you have a USB DAC up to 24 bits 192 kilohertz. So this should do a better job with things like lossless audio.

If you are into extremely high fidelity audio sources fast charge compatible up to 30 hours of battery life, speaker drivers that are hand crafted in France, you’re gon na turn. Some heads with these things, USB DAC mode, takes sound quality to another level Beyond even wired headphones plugged directly into a phone or dongle. These drivers were made in France at the focal Factory in Saint Etienne ever been to France, mom, oh actually. Yes, I have this guy’s unbelievable.

They say that the sound quality here emphasizes punch and dynamism without sounding bloated or boomy. You don’t want bloated, sound Mo. I don’t even think you want bloated anything. Oh magnetic unboxing experience so far, lovely strong Factory, fresh smell appreciated.

You have to understand this is extremely high-end, audio stuff. Look at the speakers these guys put together. I would love to put this stuff in the studio. It’S so elegant.

Look at me handcrafted and whatnot Batiste, okay, that is uh satisfying to touch one thing. I was worried about is weight, but you know what not the worst like, because, obviously, when you’re comparing to audiophile grade headphones, you have extremely quality components and so sometimes you’re dealing with weight. Hopefully this is distributed reasonably well. There’S something about this pattern. Satisfaction, aluminum magnesium see the focal logo in there volume buttons, as well as your Bluetooth connection. We have a dedicated switch for your DAC USB type c and an LED indicator to let you know that you’re charging them we’ve also got a 3.5 power.

Button is on the other ear cup, so you can differentiate it from all your other buttons that live elsewhere. This is an over ear design, with a deep ear cup, that’s likely going to achieve a fairly substantial bass response and isolate from your your environment. So it’s like less competitive and that’s before you even turn on your active noise canceling. We have this leather material on the top of the headband and then it’s a slightly more suedeish on the bottom side.

350 grams. So there were all kinds of material choices that actually aided in delivering that light weight, including magnesium. We have a couple of cables, USBC to C focal branded our mini jack with an interesting angle. On the one connection point, the other being straight. Of course, you can store them in there. You also have a little mesh section off on get it on on flashing focal logos.

Look at that. The design here is reminiscent of an open back and that’s kind of like an homage, a signal to the origin story and and still the series of high-end headphones that focal makes. However, in this case, when you see these babies flashing, you know you’re dealing with something different, and you also know that you’re ready to pair via Bluetooth, you have the high-end DAC mode built in, but you’ve also got a set of Wireless noise. Canceling headphones, which is key because I think that’s the way these are going to get used a lot. So let me go ahead and throw these on.

Oh noise. Canceling is in charge right away. Oh you downloaded title aggressive and I, like it Instant, Crush all right.

All right carried away in there carried away, I didn’t even download the app. This is just like straight up: noise canceling. This is like connected for the first time via Bluetooth, but I’ll tell you something that was a pleasant experience.

Whoa the app goes hard. The app goes hard; no, no, no, no, no! No! No, it sees it right away EQ, so we set up presets for home or loudness. You could set up presets for music. Different genres spoken word podcasts or audiobook, and this is a really effective one. Noise cancellation. Three settings So Silent: that’s what I’m using right, now soft and then transparent, oh wow, and that’s quite transparent, even using your own voice. You there’s a lot of clarity there. This is kind of what you want on a modern, fully Wireless set of headphones. It’S quite substantial noise canceling.

You can also control the LED. It is currently in the bright setting dim off you’re, also going to see your headphone battery in here and you’re, going to see your audio format now, I’m going to plug in via cable and see how that works. There’S really three ways to use these headphones and it’s actually pretty uncommon. So normally you would have wireless and then you would have mini jack.

Mini jack is going to be using the DAC. That’S on device which in most cases is not very good, and then this has the third mode which is going to use a type c Cable in order to bypass the phone stack on the headphone jack and instead send the signal up here and that’s where your Digital analog conversion takes place in the headphones with the built-in DAC perfect. I’M gon na try to a B test. This, like fast Bluetooth, pause back plug pause, unplug, Bluetooth, pause doc. This is kind of uh, there’s kind of like uh, there’s kind of an appreciation for. What’S going on with aptx, because the Bluetooth sounds really good, I mean. Can I discern a slight difference? I would say that there’s a bigger difference between the on board headphone and the DAC than there is between the Bluetooth and the DAC. It sounds awesome.

This really speaks to how far Bluetooth has come. The fact that I’m a b testing is on the same set of headphones and it’s actually pretty close, but listen. This is a premium headphone with a premium price tag.

It’S for a person that wants to make an investment in that listening versatility and wants something. That’S like a step above what is out there on the market. It’S a tuning, that’s there! The attention to detail is, and does happen to be a little bit different on a more practical side of things, just having a lightweight over ear, fully wireless headphone with some unique styling. That’S compelling remember to head over to headphones.com because they have an incredible selection of premium audiophile grade headphones. That’S the focal batis Wireless active noise, canceling headphone with built-in DAC I mean I could sit here unless you want me to sit here and listen to music.
