Yo Jonathan here the holidays are here and with that I wanted to cover 10 tech gift ideas. You can grab right now. The list is pretty extensive, so I’m super excited to share huge. Now, quick heads up, Robo rock, is running a special holiday sale on this right now, where they’re slashing 24 off the price, it’s a pretty substantial savings, so if you’re interested definitely check out the link below now, when you think of a robot vacuum, I think it’s Pretty easy to like the name, implies think of it as just a vacuum, but it’s also a mop and where it gets special is that everything is fully automated, so itself, empties itself, refills itself washes and itself cleans. So as a vacuum, that’s huge because obviously you’re not gon na have to deal with dust, but I think it’s even more important as a mop, because there’s no way you want to have recycled dirty water being spread across your floor. So with the dock. This, of course course is where the vacuum charges, but it also houses the dust bin, clean water and dirty water. It’S essentially, where everything happens, it’s one thing to filter between the clean and the dirty water, but if the mop attachment itself is dirty, it kind of really doesn’t matter. Fortunately, though, this also on its own cleans and scrubs that attachment which takes that burden off of you.
It’S also smart enough to know the difference between hardwood floor and carpet. So if you’re mopping and it detects carpet that mop is going to Tony Stark up and get out the way now as a vacuum, it packs a ton of power. So it’s not just going to lightly brisk over things. It’S going to make sure you get a deep, thorough cleaning now, where things get even fancier is there’s a camera, a light and lidar built directly into the vacuum, and that combined with the reactive, AI 2.0 is going to allow it to recognize things like objects and Improve things like obstacle avoidance, so it’s not going to be crashing into everything. The lidar also allows you to build a 3D map of your space, which is incredibly helpful alongside the app you can do things like Mark furniture set areas, you don’t want cleaned manually control. The robot vacuum, or, let’s say you’re, not home, you can actually even tap in see, what’s going on and talk through the vacuum which is kind of nuts, so yeah like I said it’s kind of the ultimate Robot vacuum.
That does everything extraordinarily well. So next up is the Samsung M8 smart monitor, which I covered earlier this year. This is a 32 inch, 4K display and in terms of what you get for the price and the amount of things it can do, it is a no-brainer.
For starters, it is brighter than most monitors and its price range coming in at 400. Nits aesthetically. It is a great looking display, but it also packs a very slim compact design. So, even though it’s on a larger side, it doesn’t take up a giant footprint.
Now the most compelling thing about this monitor is the versatility. Obviously, it’s going to make a great option to hook your computer up to, but there’s also Smart TV functionality built directly inside there’s, even an included remote, which you don’t see with too many displays and again getting back to that versatility. This can be part of your computer setup. This can be your TV and it even makes a great option for gaming, whether you hook up a console, or it also works directly with Game Pass. So you could just buy an Xbox controller and skip the console altogether beyond that, there’s even a magnetic webcam that you can attach when you need it and put away when you don’t and more importantly, this is at a great price right now you can scoop one Up for about 500 bucks, which makes it an insta buy following that, is the Xbox series s. So if you don’t need a series X or a PS5 and you’re just looking to do more casual gaming, this is a great option. Specifically, there are two deals going on for the holidays right now, the first of which being the Xbox holiday console. It’S not a bundle.
Nothing comes with this, it’s really just a holiday box, but, more importantly, you are saving 60 bucks. Conversely, there is the Gilded Hunter bundle, which is still 2.99 but you’re, getting a thousand in-game credits for fortnite Rocket league and fall guys and that’s a thousand each, not total, there’s also some exclusive skins and things like that. In my opinion, I would probably just try and find the holiday console and say save the cache, but I wanted to throw that out there as well. Next up is the Sonos Ray. I’Ve been a fan of Sonos for a hot minute and it’s nice to see them going down a more consumer friendly price point.
With this being the first sound bar, you can grab from them for under 300 bucks you’re still getting things like their in-app functionality. Calibration things like AirPlay, the only thing to keep in mind is: it is Optical, only no HDMI. Aside from that, though, it is a tremendous option if you’re looking for a sound bar in a compact space, if you need a little more Punch or low end, they also have a bundle with their sub mini for under 700 bucks and, for contrast, that’s cheaper than Their full sub is by itself. Next up is one of my favorite pieces of tech this year, which is the airpods pro 2., and when these launched, I didn’t think there was a ton that Apple could do to improve the original airpods Pro, but they did specifically with spatial audio, though, when you Implement the personalized spatial audio that came with iOS 16: that’s where things get a little wild and to me I think it’s the best spatial audio experience. You get right now from Apple, even over airpods Max Beyond that, there’s better battery life and improved case.
Better noise cancellation, better transparency mode, and even if you couldn’t find them at a discount, I would wholeheartedly recommend them and if you can jump on it now next is the devoom D2, which I’m not entirely sure how to describe. It looks like a tiny computer, but it’s also a 10 watt, Bluetooth speaker with a 16 by 16 panel that is customizable, there’s built-in 8-bit games. Apparently it’s a sleep aid and again, more importantly, this is just a fun gift to grab following that is the remarkable 2, which is probably the most surprising gadget for me. This year I had heard a ton of hype around it at its core. It is a tablet that is supposed to react and behave like a pen and paper and, to my surprise, that is accurate to the point where it sounds like you’re writing on paper. It is geared to be simple, minimal and, more importantly, eliminate outside distractions, and with that I think it does a tremendous job Beyond just taking notes. It’S a great option for throwing down sketch ideas for reading PDFs or ebooks, or in my case, if you don’t have the nicest greatest, cleanest handwriting, it’s going to convert that into text that you can then send off in an email. Next up is the apogee boom, which is something I’ve wanted from them since the Donna time.
This is a bus powered interface. You can grab for about 300 bucks and yes, I realize there are interfaces that you can grab for less money, but what you’re getting on top of the interface is apogee’s conversion and an incredible headphone amp. Honestly, the headphone amp on this is so good that that alone would almost be worth the price tag again. This is a full-fledged interface, though there’s built-in DSP that you can use with apogee’s ECS Channel strip, which sounds incredible again with this being bus power. That means it’ll also work on iPads. So for me it is a great portable lightweight option that you can use and take with you on the go or Implement into your setup as well. Next up is the Anker 521 portable power station. I feel like at this point, especially in 2022, moving on to 2023 shortly everybody has a battery bank or a fast charger, but having something like this can be tremendously useful, there’s a 256 watt hour battery packed inside. So it’s a pretty big boy.
There is usb-a, USBC and, more importantly, full-size AC ports, which is going to be super clutch if you’re on the go or if the power goes out. Apparently this will charge a camera 15 times. It’Ll keep a mini fridge going for five hours drop, a comment letting me know what is currently in your fridge or mini fridge.
I think, more importantly, if you’re someone who shoots video, this is an invaluable tool to have on set and at the price it’s kind of something you almost need to grab. Next is the 14 inch MacBook Pro, which might be my favorite Apple machine laptop of all time? I’Ll definitely cover that more in depth, but I think right now, even with the rumors of the next MacBook Pro M2 Pro M2 Max. This is still an incredible buy. I would almost call this a perfect machine.
The display is incredible. The power is ridiculous and I think, more importantly, with the holidays right now they are regularly discounting it sometimes four or five hundred bucks off. So if you can grab that deal, definitely jump on it. This is the first time ever that Apple put the same amount of power in a compact, laptop and again with that discount, sometimes you’re getting close to MacBook Air territory in terms of the price battery life is tremendous and it was always my dream to have the Same amount of power as the bigger laptop offerings in a smaller compact option.
With this we got it. Yes, there are going to be new MacBooks next year. There’S always going to be something new, but I think these are so good that even if you grab one right now, it’s going to last you for years and years aside from that, hopefully you enjoyed the video everything will be linked down below.
