Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Secret Box From AMD!”.
Hey, what’s up folks how’s it going. This is waj and i’m really excited to share this thing right over here. It’S a package that i just got in the mail as you can see it’s a wooden box with a ryzen laser etched logo on there. So this is obviously a package from amd we’re gon na take a look at what comes inside by opening this latch and what you can see right.
There is the box containing the brand new 1800x processor part of the new ryzen 7 enthusiast line of processors from amd, and this is actually the top tier a model. This whole new lineup of amd chips is potentially going to flip the whole cpu gaming industry. On its head, it’s an eight core chip with 16 threads and it has 95 watt tdp.
The base frequency is about 3.6 gigahertz and it can turbo up to 4 gigahertz and plus, with the xfr extended frequency. If you have some decent cooling, you can go well beyond that 4 gigahertz mark to get some pretty insane performance, especially considering the price point of this processor. Also, looking inside the box, we have a 16 gigs of a ddr4 memory from corsair. This is their lpx. 3000 megahertz standard and since we’re using the new zen architecture for the processor, we’re also going to have a new chipset. That means new motherboards.
So that’s why you have this arrows x370 gaming 5 board from a gigabyte, and this board obviously is going to give you all the great capabilities that you’re going to find on the intel chipsets, such as full support for a non ecc, unbuffered ddr4 memory, usb 3.1 And gen2 type c interface, as well as support for the fastest pci express drives using the m.2 connection and like just like every other premium, pc part out there, full multi-zone rgb a lighting system. So you can pretty much customize the look of your board to match the peripherals or components in your entire rig. So that’s going to be really cool and we’re going to go more in depth in terms of what this board has to offer paired with the ryzen 7 1800 x chip. I’M really excited to see what kind of performance results this system is going to yield. Currently, there’s a lot of data out there right now as stating that the new ryzen 7 chips are completely uh demolishing the intel counterparts. In fact, even the 6900k processor from intel, which cost almost twice as much as the 1800x over here, is actually slightly slower in some tests, but we’re gon na. Definitely i do our own testing and find out how this chip compares to everything out there right now.
