What's the Best Samsung S10? One month Later.

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “What’s the Best Samsung S10? One month Later.”.
What’S up folks how’s it going, this will watch hope you guys are all doing well, so for the past few weeks we’ll be doing a lot of testing with the new samsung galaxy s10 series of smartphones. Now a lot of people have been giving them pretty decent. Overall reviews which is uh cool to see because there are pretty awesome smartphones nonetheless, but after a weeks of testing them uh each of these specific models, i want to kind of do a little breakdown on terms of how the three of them compare against each other. Perhaps you guys are still curious to see uh, which smartphone is the best and, if you’re in the market, for a new s10. This is a perfect video for you, and i want to give a big shout out to iblazon for making this video possible and let’s get right into this comparison now. Firstly, in terms of design and footprint. Obviously, the s10e has the smallest footprint and it’s the lightest out of the other two, but in terms of thickness, it’s actually uh 0.1 millimeters thicker than the s10 and s10 plus, which is actually really interesting.

The s10 plus actually comes in two different versions in terms of construction. You can either get the glass model which weighs in around 175 grams or the ceramic version which weighs in about 198 grams and the s10 and s10e in the hand, pretty much feel almost identical. As you can see, there’s not a huge dimensional difference as well. Now the big thing is going to be the display in terms of sizes. The s10 is a 5.8 inch display versus you’re, looking at 6.1 and 6.4 on the s10 and s10 plus respectively. Now all the displays are pretty much identical in terms of brightness and color rendition since they’re, using the same exact amoled technology from samsung, there’s only difference in terms of size and resolution.

Now, interestingly, both the s10 and s10 plus have the same exact and native resolution and with the slightly smaller display size, the s10 actually has the highest pixel density count about 550 ppi versus 522 on the s10 plus, and we have about 438 ppi count on the S10E in real life, i think anything. Past 430 is really hard to perceive uh above the 500 mark. Yes, things look a little bit sharper, especially when you’re super up close to the display, but for 99 of the time you’re not going to notice a tremendous difference. Coming from phone to phone in terms of sharpness now the s10 definitely has the sharpest display when you are viewing your photos or videos that are above a 4k resolution. So if you had to pick a winner between the three uh, the s10 would probably have the best viewing experience in terms of display now moving on in terms of the internal parameters of virtually all three of these phones use the same exact architecture. There are some subtle differences in terms of memory, but in terms of the cpu either you can get the exynos 8920 chip or the snapdragon 855.

Both are 64-bit octa-core processors and depending upon where you are and which carrier you’re going to use. Uh you’ll find those specific specifications now in terms of internal memory and ram. There is a little bit of differences. The s10e starts at a 60 gigabyte configuration in terms of ram with 120 gigs of internal storage. You can option up to the eight gigabyte version with 256 gigs of internal storage and the s10 comes in eight gigabyte configurations for the ram and either a 128 up to 512 gigabytes of internal storage and the s10 plus uh starts at around 8 gigabytes of ram And goes all the way up to 12 gigabytes if you get the one terabyte internal storage capacity. Now, in terms of the question is, do you really need 12 gigabytes or even eight gigabytes of ram in most cases? No because you only really have the option to do so, many things on such a small display on a smartphone anyways, six gigabytes, even if you’re a heavy-duty multi-uh media user.

It’S not going to be that limiting for most people out there now soon we’re going to have smartphones with multiple displays, and that will definitely utilize more system memory, since you can do much more with more screen real estate, but for the time being, with a single Display uh, six gigabytes and eight gigabytes is perfectly fine for 99 percent of people out there. Now, thankfully, you still have the micro sd expansion slots available in all the devices, as well as dual sim options. If you need that, as well now before we get into the real critical differences between these three we’re going to talk about iblazon.com and if you’re looking for a new case for the s10 well, both iblazon and subcase are offering a wide variety depending upon your personal Needs and preferences you have stuff like the aries case, which has a clear backing, as well as a built-in screen protector, which offers a decent amount of scratch resistant. You also have shock proof, bumpers and it’s wirelessly charging compatible. On the other hand, if you want a little bit more pizzazz and style check out their cosmos series of cases, they offer a marble design, as well as a sparkly purple, which definitely stands out now. On the other hand, if you want the ultimate protection for your s10, you definitely want to check out the unicorn beetle pro. This provides 360 degrees. Full protection comes with a belt holster, which is cool and there’s even a little stand included in the case itself. So if you want to prop it up and watch movies, that’s definitely a nice little feature. You have cushioned corners to defend against bumps drops and falls from any angle.

It’S also shock absorbent, to some extent, with its hard polycarbonate construction and with all this protection, you still have the capability to charge your device wirelessly now. Lastly, the two cases that are my personal favorite are the unicorn beetle metro and the sports case. Now the metro is a really clean, simple design doesn’t detract from the original design that the s10 inherently has still looks, really nice and fairly minimalistic and provides enough protection for most things out there, and the sports athletic case is just a little bit more durable. There’S a holes at the back and that provides a little bit better heat dissipation, and it also has amazing grip all around and it’s water resistant to some extent for more info on the cases that we talked about as well as some other options definitely check out.

The link down below for more details now come back and talk about the most critical differences between these three s10s definitely has to be the camera configuration at the front. You can see that both the standard, s10 and s10e have the same exact front facing camera. They have a 10 megapixel front facing camera, with dual pixel, auto, focusing technology, same exact 80 degrees, field of view and a maximum aperture of f 1.9. Now, as you can see, the s10 plus has a dual camera configuration at the front, including that same 10, megapixel camera that we found on the other phones, but right beside. We have a slightly wider 8 megapixel camera that gives you 90 degrees of field of view. With a maximum aperture about f, 2.2, the idea of the wider camera is obviously to capture a little bit more of your surroundings.

At the front, unfortunately, 10 degrees doesn’t make a whole lot of. Difference would have been nicer to have a little bit more wider field of view to justify the need for that extra camera. Now, at the back there’s a different story: we have a triple camera configuration for the s10 and s10 plus, as you guys all know, and essentially we have a 12 megapixel telephoto camera, a 12 megapixel wide camera and a 16 megapixel ultra wide camera. You can see the overall parameters listed right in front of you now on the s10e.

We essentially just don’t, have the telephoto, but we have the standard wide camera and the ultra wide, which is perfectly reasonable. I’M glad samsung went this route. You don’t technically need a telephoto, especially if you’re only getting around 45 degrees of zoom in functionality. You can easily use the digital zoom or just use your legs to come closer into the scene, but getting an ultra wide shot is a lot more trickier, especially in confined spaces. It definitely makes a lot of sense and i love the 123 degrees of field of view. This is going to become a very, very popular feature, i’m sure, and it’s something that i’m using very very frequently for a lot of my photography.

So uh definitely happy with the configuration we have on the s10e and i don’t think you lose a lot by not having that telephoto, because certainly my situation, i rarely use it now – lasted to talk about the battery uh capacity and overall performance that we’re getting now. The sjne has the smallest capacity of 3 100 milliamp hours. First, you have 3400 milliamp hours and 4100 milliamp hours on the s10 and s10 plus respectively. All three have fast 15 watt uh wireless charging, as well as regular 15 watt fast charging from the usb c connection. They also have a power sharing compatibility on all three devices, so you have nine watts of power sharing capabilities. If you want to charge another qi device directly at the back of the phone, that is a handy feature, that’s available on all of the devices now in terms of actual uh battery performance, we did a couple of different drain tests and we’ll list off our geekbench Results our video playback results, as well as our real world uh battery benchmarking results where we open up a whole bunch of different applications in a specific order, and we simply loop uh that order to more or less replicate a real world usage.

So, as you can see on the geekbench battery, benchmarking results uh, the s10 plus scored the highest runtime about 11 hours and four minutes versus about eight hours and 50 minutes on the standard s10 and the s10e got around seven hours and 39 minutes on the video Playback test all three got the 15 hour mark on our vlc, a video playback test in airplane mode and uh. We basically have a couple of minutes separating all three devices which is interesting to see and in our real world a test. All three of these uh smartphones uh, got up to the 10 hour mark and there’s not a huge difference between the s10 and s10 plus both are getting around 10 hours and 40 minutes 49 minutes exactly on the s10, which was 41 minutes on the s10 and The s10e got around 10 hours and 18 minutes now in terms of the price point.

One of the things i always owned is after about a month or so, since the new samsung devices get launched, the price drops significantly from msrp original pricing. If you take a look at on amazon, you can actually get the s10e for around uh under the 700 mark, which is awesome compared to the 750 that it retailed for just a few weeks ago. The s10 is also cheaper than its original 899 msrp, and even the s10 plus uh, which was around the thousand dollar mark, could be had for around 8.79 on amazon, there’s other deals and other places. Certainly, if you’re with a carrier, you can probably find even better deals on contract phones. Now the question is as the price drops, which one would you ultimately get? Well, i think if you were to take a look at all the specific specifications we listed, the s10 plus doesn’t hold any big inherent advantages compared to the standard model. It’S a little bit better in terms of battery performance, not by much. You do have that larger display, but it’s not any better in terms of resolution or clarity or any of those uh parameters. So in my case i would probably save the money and just go for the standard, s10 and uh in terms of the camera specifications. The backs are identical and the front you don’t have that wider angle camera, but that wide angle – camera in my opinion, is kind of a throwaway feature, since it doesn’t really offer too much of a wider angle compared to the standard front-facing camera on the s10 plus.

So a single front camera is perfectly fine and perfectly reasonable. Now the question then becomes would would you rather get? Would you get the s10e or the standard s10? Well, since the price range uh, these days is not that much difference you can typically within around 80, upgrade to the s10. I would definitely do so because with the s10, not only do you get the telephoto camera at the back, but you get the better higher resolution display compared to the standard s10 and you have the on-screen fingerprint scanner as well, which is a handy feature compared to The side fingerprint scanner on the s10e s10e is still an awesome phone. I probably prefer to even the s10 plus from a price perspective, but at the end of the day i would just probably go with the standard model now uh, if you haven’t done so check out the description down below for more details, uh you’re also going to Find details about the eye blazing cases that we talked about again, a big thank you to them for sponsoring this video making all this stuff possible and an even bigger. Thank you to you guys for watching our content for supporting us all throughout these years. Without you, none of this would be available.
