What is up folks how’s it going. This watch hope you guys are all doing well and today we’re going to be doing an unboxing and overview of the gravistar venus bluetooth. Speaker. I’Ve been looking for a compact portable speaker for a while now and gravistar just launched a successful indiegogo campaign where they’ve created a compact, bluetooth, speaker, that’s kind of sci-fi cyberpunk theme it’s ultra portable, but the build quality is sensational. The whole construction of this outer shell is made out of zinc, alloy and there’s four different color options, not to mention a programmable rgb led ring at the front of the speaker functionally this thing is dead simple.
You have two large volume buttons at the top of the device, as well as a power button and a bluetooth cycle connection, so you can connect to multiple different devices. This is fully universally compatible with any bluetooth device, so you can stream music or any audio content from your smartphone tablet, pc or whatever you have that works with bluetooth. Now, besides the sci-fi inspired styling that you would see out of a portal or half-life game, the sound coming out of this thing is actually pretty decent and it has a full range. 1.75 inch.
10 watt driver delivers quite a powerful low end punch in the bass response. The diaphragm is also fully movable, and you can see that when you are pumping some bass, heavy music, the mid-range to high-end frequencies are also fairly well defined. Of course, this is not hifi quality, but certainly passable, given its size and relatively affordable price tag in terms of maximum volume output. This thing is quite loud, certainly very suitable for any kind of indoor environment, you’re gon na put it in and even usable in large outdoor spaces, and thanks to the fact that the tripods have built-in shock absorbers, you’re not going to really compromise too much. In terms of volume, distortion or the base getting out of hand, now, switching the colors on the rgb lighting system is really simple. You just hold down both plus and minus volume buttons at the top, and you can cycle between all the different color presets that you have. Furthermore, another cool option is: if you get another venus speaker, you can actually pair two of them up to work in stereo mode, so that could be cool if you want to have like a mobile office set up anywhere.
You go great for traveling and in terms of the bluetooth connection itself, you have a latency rating about 60 milliseconds and a top range of about 15 meters or 50 feet, and the battery life built into this thing will last you up to 10 hours, based on How loud you’re listening to your music and you can charge it via usb? It has a nice braided, usb cable that comes with it, as well as an optional charging dock that matches the overall theme and look of the venus speaker, which is cool. If you go to the indiegogo campaign, they have a limited run of these speakers going out right now, so you can get a nice discount. I think the speaker itself was gon na retail for about 130 bucks, but they’ve discounted it down to 69, which is definitely not a bad deal for a bluetooth speaker like this. With this kind of build quality and overall sound configuration, you can also get the charging a dock as a bundle for around, and what i’m really excited for is their new mars speaker, which is just a bigger version of this.
