TurboAnt X7 Pro - Best Adult E-Scooter Under $500?

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “TurboAnt X7 Pro – Best Adult E-Scooter Under $500?”.
Hey, hey, hey! What is up folks hope you guys are all doing well. This is watch from mw technology and today we’re going to be taking a look at an e-scooter that i’ve been testing out for the past short, while the turbo and x7 pro. This is an adult commuting style e-scooter that packs a lot of important features, including a 30 mile or 48 kilometer maximum range 20 miles an hour 32 kilometer top speed a triple braking system, a foldable portable design, in conjunction with a removable battery and all for a Fairly aggressive price point of under five hundred dollars usd now for the past year, i’ve been testing out a lot of different electric, kick scooters from the big manufacturers, such as nine bot and go tracks which are ready available on amazon. Specifically, we tested out the gmax ultra, which had similar range and top speed performance capabilities as the x7 pro that we have over here. But i think the x7 pro from turboland has some key advantages from a design perspective. That’S going to make it quite appealing, especially for people that want a more compact, portable and versatile solution and speaking of versatility factor, i think one of the biggest highlights on the scooter has to be the removable battery design. I think most scooters in this compact category should employ some sort of solution where you can take the battery out for repair purposes as well as potentially doubling or tripling your range with extra battery modules, and i think turbo lane does a great job of making these Batteries readily available, for example, this scooter uses a 10 amp hour battery. You could even potentially carry a spare battery with you in a backpack and effectively double your range from 30 to 60 miles and swapping the batteries out is actually relatively simple. It’S just a quick release mechanism located at the bottom of the stem portion of the scooter, and it only takes a few seconds to make a swap.

The only downside of having the battery embedded in the stem of the scooter is that it does make the diameter of the stem quite a bit larger. So when you’re transporting the scooter in its folded up position, you are going to need to grab that fatter portion of the stem, which might be a little bit cumbersome if you do have smaller hands. But for me personally, this trade-off is definitely not a huge compromise. Since i would rather have access to the battery to begin with, rather than it being embedded in the bed of the scooter like what we find with other scooters from go tracks, and things like that, where you cannot replace or change the battery out yourself now turns The weight and overall dimensions of the scooter in its folded position, which is its most compact form the total length, is about 108 centimeters. The width of the handlebars is around 42 centimeters. Luckily, you can unscrew them relatively quickly and easily giving you just the width of the deck which is 14 and a half centimeters. The gross weight of the scooter is actually relatively light for its range and overall speed, capabilities of 33 pounds or 15 kilos about three pounds lighter than the gotrax alternative that we tested now. The right height is about 11 and a half centimeters, and there is no active suspension or anything like that.

All the bumps and everything on the road are going to be absorbed through the 10 inch pneumatic air inflated tires, which are perfectly fine for street and a little bit of gravel use here and there, but definitely not the best for off-roading capabilities. So you want to definitely keep this thing mostly on the street. We do have ipx 4 certification. So that’s going to be a general water resistant in all directions.

You don’t want to go out too much in the pool range just for safety reasons, but it should do a good job of remaining pretty sealed for most of the elements that you’re going to encounter. Now it shows the power and performance capabilities of the c-scooter. It has a 350 watt hub motor located on the front axle, there’s actually three different power modes or riding modes: eco comfort and sport, with eco you’re limited to about six miles an hour. Comfort is 12 miles an hour and you get the full 20 mile an hour top speed in sport mode.

During my tests, i had no problem in reaching a 20 mile an hour top speed in sport mode on most level ground, decent road conditions. I weigh about 185 pounds to just give you guys a little reference point and the only thing it really struggles with like many 350 watt hub motors with this kind of power supply is going to be up hills, especially if you weigh a hund more than 150 Pounds now, according to the manufacturer, it should be able to tackle gradients up to 15 degrees, but it definitely will depend upon how much the rider weighs in most case, scenarios for most north american europeans out there, they’re gon na definitely struggle and probably gon na need. Some manual foot assistance to get up most hills above a 10 gradient now. Besides that, i did experience a little bit of a clogging.

You would hear this kind of like knocking sound on the hub motor area, especially when you’re engaging uh full throttle at a low speed. I understand that most of these hub motors utilize a direct drive system where they’re not dealing with any gears internally, but if you’re not supplying the right and correct voltage at the given speed and rpm, you might experience some of these clogging issues. So that might be a power management system error, but it happens fairly occasionally, and it’s not a major cause for concern for most of my riding experience beyond that. From a safety perspective, we have a triple redundant braking system, including a rear mounted disc brake with a flashing led tail light, as well as an electronically controlled brake at the front utilized by the hub motor, as well as a manual auxiliary brake, which is just a Mechanism that you can push on to the rear, fender and you apply some frictional resistance to the back tire, thus being able to stop in emergency situations from top speed to zero and about 16.4 feet now. The control, interface and handlebar layout is fairly conventional. For most of these e-scooters left-hand side, you have a standard brake lever with a mechanical bell attachment to notify pedestrians of when you’re coming through on the right-hand side of the handlebars. You have a standard twist throttle control and to initiate movement on the scooter. You manually move it forward by kicking the ground a couple of times twist the throttle and you initiate the drive motor on the throttle.

Knob. You also have a power button which you can turn the scooter on or off by holding it accordingly and a function button which has a two purposes. A quick single press will initiate the different drive modes from eco comfort and sport, and a double press will turn the front led light on or off it’s a 3 watt led perfectly adequate for most night time and low light conditions. The center display is super simple.

Basically, you have a battery level at the bottom portion of the display. The speed is in the center portion and you basically have a small little icons of what drive mode you’re in as well as whether your led light is on or off. In addition to that, you also have cruise control, which you can initiate at any speed by holding a constant speed for about six to ten seconds. You’Ll hear a little beep and a little icon won’t pop off on the display notifying you that cruise control is engaged. If you want to discount you simply just tap the throttle or for it now, during my time with the x7 pro, i did manage to do two individual range tests on one test with a little bit more aggressive riding style up hills.

Quite a bit. I got around a 28 a kilometer range. Another one was a little bit more flat terrain. I got 32 kilometer range that equates to about 18 and 20 miles, uh, that’s quite a bit off of what the estimated 30 mile range was, but given the fact that i do weigh quite a bit pounds and in rough kind of hilly terrain, that’s definitely not Too shabby the charging time is about five to six hours on a standard, ac charger uh, either on 120 or 240 volts now. Currently, the x7 pro is actually on sale for under 480 dollars, and you can also get their m10 commuting electric scooter for under 400.

That, basically has an 18 mile range compared to 30 miles theoretically, on the x7 pro and at that price point in combination with the removable battery high speed performance and overall lightweight versatility factor of these things, i think they’re definitely ones to look out for if you’re In the market for a budget-friendly e-scooter that of course being said, it’s important to note that there are certain limitations of these scooters. For example, the range and overall performance is gon na fluctuate, depending upon how heavy you are as a rider. Certainly uh uphill. Climbing is definitely going to be a challenge for most of these scooters, with this kind of power output and indeed uh the fact that there is no suspension. So these are mostly limited to concrete riding, but besides those notions, i’m having a whole lot of fun with the x7 pro and if the weather stays good here on the west coast, it’s going to be an awesome summer. With this thing, i’ll, hopefully go on a lot of mini adventures if you’re interested in learning more about this e-scooter check out the description down below for all the latest pricing and details.
