Hello there and thank you, viewers and lurkers alike. I’M muse – and this is tech deals, i’m sure you’ve all heard of drones at this point, they’ve been around for quite a while, but they’ve been perfecting everything they can do and what they can be used for. This one has an awesome camera. This is the ruco u11 wi-fi camera drone we’re going to go ahead and unbox this, for you guys to show you what all the fuss is about some great uses for it and, of course, we’re going to have a lot of fun, we’re gon na unbox. This bad boy and show you what all you can do with it right here at home and your local park.

So interesting, um, all right! There’S our our qr code to download the app for piloting our drone um, because of course it connects to your phone to be piloted.
So it’s a nice feature there and of course you need something to be able to see the camera footage that you’re capturing with the drone when you send it up and that helps with the control as well. So you can control it by looking up at where the drone is, and also looking at the camera footage that it’s currently seeing the whatsapp phone number for customer services is a very new thing. That’S interesting well, new to me all right so yeah we have our front camera rear camera. Of course it comes out of the package like this.
So then you would fold out the arms set, the propellers all that good stuff. So, let’s see here, that’s our aircraft diagram, so unfolding instructions; let’s go ahead and uh, let’s, let’s, let’s get it out here. Let’S see here what’s up here, though distraction this, is they look like dremel tips? I’M sure, that’s not what they are. Some kind of gears instructions before flight crash or abnormal landing need to collaborate. Okay, so put the drone on a flat surface.
Okay. This is all the uh calibration that it takes you through. I believe the app takes you through that as well, but i guess we shall see let’s see here, so i’m not sure we got some extra gears in here um. I guess they’re just replacement gears and probably some other replacement parts up here.
This is our two usb cables. This is extra propellers. We have one two, three okay, so there’s four sets of extra propellers. So if anything happens to these propellers, we have four replacements that come with it. So that’s awesome, oh and that’s the screwdriver and all the tiny screws.
So that’s pretty neat that it comes with all of that, so it’s kind of a barely translucent baggie there. So if you can’t see it, it’s 12 tiny screws for replacing the propellers and a tiny little screwdriver, and then these two replacement gears here and then here’s the four extra propellers. So that’s neat. So if we need to make repairs, we can make repairs and we have our two charging cables and, let’s see what’s in the box, all right first thing in the box is a clip see.
Why doesn’t it list all these things? It talks about that stuff, but it doesn’t talk about the two gears. So that’s interesting and the box doesn’t list it either, so it just comes with some extra fun things. This kind of uh looks like a let’s say, a phone attachment. Actually, so, can you attach your phone to this drone that you’re flying up into the air seems like an interesting choice? I guess if you have an extra phone, no judgments here, oh – and this is the extra battery, so we can have this charging while we’re using our drone. I assume it’s extra, i’m going to check to see if there’s one already attached to the drone, but i would assume i would assume so um, but we shall see and here’s our controller with our cute little antennas here for getting the signal out to our drone.
I see so it has to go. Okay, neat neat. There’S our charging spot! Oh here we go.
Oh okay! I see special moments. So this is so you can attach your your um phone here. So you’ve got that screen right in front of you as you’re flying the drone. So that’s pretty neat i’m gon na take it off for now, because i want to take it to the park in the cool little case.
That’S in to actually fly it around. Let’S put this back in here: this is our extra battery that we should probably have charging so i’ll probably need those charging cables. And then, let’s see this guy, okay, careful careful all right here we have it beautiful, beautiful. So there’s our drone all set up here. Um and let’s see here, yep there’s our other batteries, so we have two batteries to uh switch out, so we can have one charging, while the other one is up in the air, so we always have a charged battery.
So that is awesome. So i’m gon na go ahead and get this one uh charging so that we will be able to send him up in the air for you guys. So that’s everything in the package.
That’S the that’s! The full shebang there! So i’m gon na go ahead and fold him back up. Oh so there’s i’ll go ahead and take that off. For you guys this is an unboxing. After all, i might as well fully unpackage it right. So let’s go ahead and shine a sticky. It’S always sticky.
So that’s gon na be dirty um, but that’s okay, and then we have our little camera lens sticker. I’M actually gon na wait to remove that uh until we’re actually outside capturing footage, because i don’t want there to be anything on the lens when we’re filming. For you guys, i want it to be as clear as possible, so i might as well keep it clean as long as i can so. I’M gon na leave that sticker on there so that it looks crisp when we get that footage for you um. But this is the drone here, and this is our nice little camera. It goes up down, it can turn and go up down.
It can land itself return to base um? It’S got a lot of really fun settings. That’S going to be fun to play with so we’re going to go ahead and fold it back up, so you put the back legs in first and then the front legs swivel right around them and then you can set it right back into its little pod. Here. Whoops other direction, perfect right back into the case, swing those blades in there.
We have it i’m going to plug in this battery, so it can charge so that we can go outside. We can walk you through the calibration and everything. So you know how to get your drone working and then we’re going to send it up and see what we can capture for you guys all right guys so we’re out here at the park. I am ready to get the drone set up to show you guys what we can do with it, but i did want to show you exactly how all of the setup and everything works. So basically, you’ve got your little card here that came out of the box when i unboxed it, and this little qr code will take you to the app to download so that you can see the drone’s screen from your phone and actually see how well you’re piloting It and change the modes and things from your phone since obviously you’re not able to hit buttons on the drone. You do have an awesome controller and you will be able to mount your phone into the controller, so it’s primarily going to be your screen and gps.
So now i’m going to open it up fold the arms out the way i was showing you guys earlier and then we’re going to try to calibrate this bad boy. I’Ve heard horror stories, though, so wish me luck on the calibration yep. Okay. It wanted me to do that sure didn’t tell me that. Are you calibrated yet? What do you want from me? Okay, we ready to make it fly yeah. I’M scared, whoa, pretty cool okay, so i’m gon na do circle. It’S showing us our whole surroundings, just all on its own. It’S going to circle around loop around for us get some good coverage, and then we have, of course gps, and the other thing is follow me well come on drone drone where you going.
This is pretty neat. If you wanted to do like a falcon cosplay, you could have your actual little bird guy like follow you around. That’S like really awesome.
I might actually have to do that. I’M not gon na lie. This is just to change your speed, um and then this is to return it home where it took off from, but it just beeps really loud.
Honestly, i would just fly it back to you and then slowly land it because the return home just brings it back to the destination it started at and then it beeps really loud until you bring it down and then you pick it up, so you might as Well, just fly it back to you as long as it has battery left, my goodness you’re loud when you do this all right, calm down. What are you doing shut down? Why you do that? Why are you trying to mow here, you’re, looking at using it for showing a home for sale or, in this case, an entire housing development? I can’t help but get teary-eyed watching this footage thinking someday soon sims is going to look this real and here you’re. Looking at using it to get an amazing new, personalized and real-time view of your favorite locations, we used it to get footage of the dallas cowboys facility here because it was close by. But it would be great for footage of any of your favorite places and getting a new look at it with aerial views, but back to this drone, the tech behind it is a great idea, but its execution was well. It left much to be desired. The camera in it may be 4k, but i’m sure you noticed the footage we got was not.
That is because you can only see that 4k live on your phone screen. If your phone has a 4k screen, mine does not, but the actual capture capability of the drone itself is not 4k and can only use a 32 gig micro sd card or you can partition a 256 gig card to get it to capture to it, but in Either case it will not capture footage to the card in 4k or to your phone. Its capture rate is well, you saw it also the process to get it ready for each use is pretty extra and finally, it may fly, but not amazingly steady unless it is set to follow me if there is any wind like in the air where it goes For example, it will fly up on its own constantly or very easily flips and crashes on follow me. It seemed to correct its height fairly well on its own shortly after purchasing it.
We received this. Thank you note with disclaimers stating that if it’s windy, you run the risk of the drone just flying away, which i guess explains the up up and away it kept trying to do during our footage. All in all, it’s a pretty neat toy for two hundred dollars, but it is just a toy for two hundred dollars. You aren’t going to get high-res images or videos and it isn’t going to fly super easily, nor fly very accurately in most circumstances, but it’s fun when you set aside the time it takes to play with it.
