Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “RTX 3070 Ti Review And Benchmarks – Worth $599?”.
Welcome back to the channel. Glad to see you guys all here. Now check this out.. Last week we saw the RTX 3080 Ti.. I thought that it was overpriced for the performance and power that you got and that’s just my opinion.
Some differ, but now we’re gon na take a look at a different part.. That’S right.! This is the RTX 3070 Ti coming to market at $ 600 and at the end of this video I’ll totally explain to you guys why I feel like this is the sweet spot for NVIDIA.. And with that said, though, let’s hop in and let’s see why I feel like this $ 600 part – is a really good card.. Let’S talk tech, NVIDIA, style., ( man clicking tongue, ), ( upbeat rock music ). So, first off, just like any Founders Edition card that you get from NVIDIA, you guys can see that not very much actually comes inside the box.. You just basically get the card itself and, if you’re lucky a couple of cables for different power supplies, and that’s really it because these cards are coming straight from NVIDIA to us reviewers.
But as far as the card’s looks go, it pretty much looks exactly the same as the 3070 previous generation card.. Now it’s using the silicone the 104., It’s kind of the same as the other ones and a slightly bit different.. As far as the length goes, it’s still pretty much the same size as all their other cards.. The heighth in the card is about five inches and it takes up two slots inside of your computer to fit inside your case, so make sure that you do have the room.. So that’s the card, but I guess what’s really important to a lot of people. Are the actual speeds feeds and then their performance? So let’s check out some of the specs..
The RTX 3070 Ti looks like the other Ampere 30 series cards and that is to be expected. With a front intake fan and a rear exhaust fan. The card looks really clean and it’s completely sealed., Based around the newer GP104 chip set. The card features eight gigabytes, GDDR6 memory with a 256 bit memory interface and a memory clock speed of 9500 megahertz. Sizing in at 10, inches by four inches high and the usual two slot design. Nothing new is here.
The base clock. Speed of the 3070 Ti is 1575 megahertz and a boost clock speed of 1770 megahertz, but my boost average was really closer to 1800 megahertz.. The RTX 3070 Ti has 6,144 CUDA cores six graphics, processing clusters, 24 texture processing clusters and 48 streaming multiprocessors..
The CUDA cores deliver 22 teraflops of FP32 shader performance. The dedicated RT cores provide the equivalent of 42 teraflops of ray tracing performance and the tensor cores provide up to 174 tensor teraflops for AI-based DLSS ray trace acceleration and other GeForce RTX AI-based features and effects, meaning their games.. Now, as far as the outputs go gone is the USB C port, which I think is a step backwards and the outputs now are just three display ports and a single HDMI port.. It’S also recommended that you use a 750 watt power supply and the total graphics, power or TGP is 290 watts.. My average temperature, while testing, was between 86 and 89 degrees Celsius in a closed case environment., And with that out of the way, let’s now check out some gaming performance and rock out to the benchmark, song. ( upbeat rock music ).
So there you have it tech fans.. Now, like I said at the very beginning of the video this card’s coming to market at $ 600., It’s $ 100 more than the 3070 was, but the performance is almost like a 3080, so you’re getting a card this time. That’S only $ 100, more and you’re getting quite a bit more performance all around the board.. Now I didn’t really get too much into doing the overclocking and that stuff. I will get to that in another video where I’ll, actually overclock the 3080 Ti and the 3070 Ti and I’ll just bring a separate video on that completely.
But I feel that this card is a winner. Now I know, there’s gon na be issues probably with stock and, as it travels down the lane to get out to everybody out there on the market, and so some people are gon na be scalping and trying to Do the whole mining thing, but hopefully because these cards have a lower hash rate than the previous generation cards. Hopefully I say hopefully with fingers crossed the miners will try to go and get some different cards instead of these, but for $ 600. I think this is the sweet spot for NVIDIA cards and, honestly, I think this card is an Editor’s Choice.
Product., I’m going by it this time by the price, the card and everything else.. What a scalper sells it for. What some end of the road guy is selling it for I’m, not gon na get all into that. It’S a total different politic, but if you can find one of these cards and you can find it for the MSRP, I would definitely say – buy this card. For the $ 600 price tag. It has everything that you’re looking for., Some people might say the 3080 Ti.
You could overclock that thing and get the gaming performance of a 3090 okay. Well, still very few people play 4K gaming.. Most gaming is at 1440, that’s become pretty much the norm and then you’ve got some 1080 people still going on and the lower resolutions are out there for people with older equipment, but right now, 1080 and 1440 with 1440. Really, I think, being the predominant one.
Is the sweet spot for gaming and this card will eat that ( slap ) up and it’ll play every game that you want without any problems whatsoever. The positive things always about NVIDIA beyond politic or any of the other ( pop ) is that their drivers are Always the best. And yes, you probably will always be paying a premium price to NVIDIA, because they’re always pushing technologies.. So in one week’s time you can see that I’ve had a total difference of opinion between the 3070 Ti and the 3080 Ti, and a lot of people for some reason still never understood my point about the entire video.. I don’t know why I got nasty emails from some of you guys.. Why are you sending me a nasty email about my opinion on a video card? I mean seriously man, You ain’t got nothing better to do with your ( ring ) life than to send me a nasty email over what? Because you disagree with my opinion, What are you gon na do write everybody out there in the world who disagrees with you? A nasty message It just makes no sense., It’s just how I feel about something. And honestly in my entire career. This is the very first time that I’ve ever actually just was totally not happy with the card.. It had nothing to do with me.. I have my card., But I don’t just look at things from a selfish, Elrich, perspective..
Okay, I got mine so screw everybody else., You guys are the audience and without you, even though I’m not getting a shite ton of views anymore. Without you, there is no channel. There is nothing here. So the whole point is to bring you guys the truth about what’s going on, and I did not feel truthfully in my heart that that card was just worth $ 1,200 for what you were getting for.
It.. That’S fine if it can overclock and perform like a 3090 for a few hundred dollars. Less., That’s fine for people who really care! You know what I mean.
But that’s an elitist group.. You only need those numbers if you’re pushing a 4K monitor and have a G-SYNC really 4K monitor to get the best features, which is another expensive thing, and that still raises the tier to people who can’t afford it. A card at $ 600. Even though it’s still a little bit pricey, I don’t feel that that’s an outrageous price for the 3070 Ti at all for what you’re getting. If you can find one, I say: buy it, because it’s a good deal you’re getting what you’re paying for. Ignore the people who are trying to rip you off for other money., If you can’t buy it for what it’s supposed to be selling for don’t buy it.. Just wait. Don’t play the game., So I’m Elrich.
