So with that said, AMD is going to be releasing a liquid cooled. 6900 XT card. Now this is probably going to really be the fastest card that AMD has ever released to date.. Now for many months there was speculation about this card.. Some people thought it was going to be a dual card where it means there’s two chips on one card.
Nvidia’s had a couple AMD a few, but this card is going to be pretty interesting. Now when the original 6900 XT came out at that time, it was The very fastest card that AMD had released., But now this card has the potential to be even more. And while the rumors were circulating for a long time about what was going on, VideoCardz finally dropped the skinny with some actual specs.. Now most of the specs are exactly the same as the previous card..
The things that are different, however, are the game. Clock.. The game clock is going from 2,015 megahertz up to 2,250 megahertz.
And with that comes a little bit of a higher power requirement., It’s going from 300 watts to 330 watts.. Another very interesting thing about this card. Is it’s not going to be made by a board? Partner., It’s actually a reference design card directly from AMD.. Whether board partners will actually get a chance to make this in the future. That’S unknown., But for right now it’s pretty killer. That AMD is actually making a reference card with their own liquid cooler design.. But what’s really crazy, though, is this liquid cooled video card will probably be something that AMD fans are going to be up in arms about going. I want this card And truthfully the last 6900 XT that I saw selling on eBay was like almost $ 4,000., So we all know that trying to buy a video card right now, it’s either out of stock everywhere or you’re being charged an arm and a leg From scalpers people on eBay who just wanted to get a ton of money for their cards.
And it’s been show all around. Now, like I said at the very beginning of the video, you will actually be able to get one of these cards.. But the way to do it is you’re going to have to buy it from a system integrator, which means that you would have to buy it new system in order to get the card..
Now. Some people will probably balk at this and say: oh my God, that just sucks no way. But here’s the real thing. There’s really no way that you can lose money even doing this.. So if you really really want to get a hold of one of these liquid cooled, 6900 XTs just buy a new system., You don’t have to buy the most expensive, crazy system. And if you don’t even need the system you’re telling me that you can’t find somebody Just to buy that system from you. I mean it should be a pretty easy thing.. So I know that some people might say: oh my God, that really sucks, but I don’t really see it being that much of a negative. I mean, let’s just face it..
What do you want to do? Do you want to pay somebody 3,000 $ 3,500 for a card by itself, Or would you rather spend $ 2,000 get a system and a card at the same time? You know the card is yours at that point. You can pull it out of that system. Put it in your existing system, turn around and sell your other system to one of your buddies or family members. And voila you’re, totally fixed up., Plus. By doing that, you really totally the scalpers and all the people out there that are trying to do this. Stuff., The miners probably aren’t going to go out and buy 10 whole new systems to get the card.
So you have that going for you as well.. I think all in all, it’s a pretty cool thing. And I’m really looking forward to this card, because I’m going to be honest with you, when this card gets released, I’m going to buy a whole system from an integrator just to get ahold of that card, because I don’t want to pay a fortune for that card..
Who does I don’t. You don’t.? So, even though there is a little bit of catch to getting this video card, at least you’ll be able to get one., And I think that’s a really cool thing. AMD has come so far in the last few years.
It’S really mind boggling.. If you would have asked me five years ago how I felt about AMD and me buying their stuff, I would have just been like eh no.. I was really just a total Intel, Nvidia guy for many many years. And to be truthful with you.
I only really became more of an Nvidia fan when AMD bought ATI. Back when AMD well before AMD acquired ATI, I loved ATI more than anybody else.. Those were the cards that I went to. I never even really looked at Nvidia cards..
I always bought an ATI card and then I bought an Ageia card and put that in there. So I get all my cool 3D stuff. So once Nvidia acquired the rights to Ageia and all their technology and brought all that stuff onto an Nvidia card and then AMD bought, ATI ATI was totally gone and the company I loved and all the people that I Love that worked there all kind of went away, and it became a totally different company. AMD CPU’s are something that I personally would have never bought back in the day, but nowadays their CPU’s are starting to be the best on the market.
And they’ve really made Intel. Have to completely reevaluate their entire system and are forcing them to change., And we all know that competition in the market is what drives the market. And for many years when AMD wasn’t competitive, … And before you start going.
Leaving all your negative nasty comments. I know there have been times in the past where AMD has had CPU’s for a little while were better than the Intel CPU’s, but never like it is now. AMD with Lisa Su at the helm, has done a complete 360 and all of their products have gotten Better. Their CPU’s., Their chipsets for their motherboards.
Video cards., I mean, let’s just face it: AMD’s made a lot of changes and every day they’re growing, more and more as a household name.. I figured give it about five or six more years and there’s going to be just as many people who know about the AMD name as Intel.. The whole Intel Inside thing is going to be something of the past.. Intel is no longer going to be the top dog.
Nvidia has real competition now with AMD. A lot of the technologies that Nvidia has AMD has their own type of solution., And their type of solution is usually a little bit cheaper. Now. Sometimes the AMD solution is not quite as robust as the Nvidia solution, but we all know that comes the trade-off with spending a lot of money.
And as long as the technology can get the job done. That’S really all that matters at the end of the day.. In fact, FreeSync technology, when it first came out, was just kind of ho-hum., But now with FreeSync Premium and FreeSync Premium Pro and with Premium Pro you get HDR support. You get support for high refresh rates high everything. It’S really come a long way.. So, like usual, I want to hear your guys’ comments down below.. Do you really think that happening to buy …? Excuse me having to buy a whole system to get the liquid cooled? 6900 XT. Do you really think it’s that bad of a thing Because, like I said you don’t have to buy the most expensive system on the planet, to get this. And that’s what my plan is going to be.? I plan on getting a mid-level system with the video card. In it and then selling this system to one of my friends or one of my family members. – And I don’t really see that being a bad thing, because I don’t want to pay outrageous prices for my video card. And if I can get it for the MSRP And get it inside of a system, that’s the route I’m going to go and I’m not going to complain about it., So I’ll have links down below to VideoCardz..
