Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Repurposing Discarded Containers: Milk Jug Igloo”.
I I built a milk jug igloo for a place for my students to read in my classroom, so we had. I had this on the rug in my classroom for about four months, so they could read inside we used about 450 milk jugs at maker faire. The kids have loved this igloo, they go in and out and they push on it and so far it hasn’t fallen down. My igloo has 48 milk jugs on the bottom filled about a quarter of the way with water for weight and then the rest of the lines. The rows are about a half a jug smaller for the first six rows, and then it gets a lot smaller.
A lot quicker this afternoon, somebody tossed a milk jug out of the middle of it. I don’t know exactly what he where he got it. The whole igloo is recyclable and at six o’clock today I get to break it into little pieces stomp on it and stick it in their recycling bin .
