Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Science Class Hydroponics: STEM Garden”.
So new york state education department funded this grant. It’S a three-year grant we’re in the last year of the funding when i first started working in the school elementary schools in particular, i was assembling a lot of the parts that i was bringing into the school and then i realized that the children were actually capable Of doing that themselves and that they had more fun, if i told them about the problem set and then come up with their own designs and solutions and inventions plants like all living, things, have certain requirements that need to be met in order for them to grow And thrive, hydroponic gardening is one of the programs that they were working on and it was how can we grow food in our own apartment buildings in the bronx, without the need for a lot of land or soil? It’S best for people who live in apartment buildings who don’t have any place to grow their plants, i’ve seen lots of cool inventions and projects, i’m really expired and i think one day i’ll present some of my work here. I’M very excited about this fair. This is the first convention that i’ve ever been to, but, more importantly, i’m very excited about doing a presentation in front of a crowd.
