Maker Faire Bay Area 2013: Hand of Man

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Maker Faire Bay Area 2013: Hand of Man”.
Hand of man is one of my favorite installations that has been to make a fair couple of times. You can see it amazing. Did you see that this is a 26 ton robotic arm and forearm that is controlled by a glove? This is an interactive project by Christian Risto. He is based out of Taos New Mexico, incredible artist and robot Isis.

You can see the the carnage from the hand of man and that’s happened, always a crowd-pleaser, and this is capable of picking up a car and dropping it. That is just incredible what a feeling it must be to be able to control that giant hand whatever she does with the glove. The 26-ton hand will do as well tell us how it feels to control a 26 ton hand kind of frustrating.

Actually, it’s not easy, but it’s also very awesome. The debris is getting scraped away, so another person can have a chance to try their hand at the hand of man. .
