I hear that it is it’s uh very affordable, 399., it’s a plug-and-play and you never have to live the environment. Everything that you need in terms of editing, cropping, solidifying and printing is right here, fantastic. So what should makers know about the scents? In addition to you know what it can do, makers should know that it’s powered by very professional software from geomagic and it’s powered by prime sense, two very good technologies and it’s the most flexible and comprehensive scanning available today. Excellent now i heard the software was included, for that price is that software is included and you never have to live the environment. You don’t have to go from scanning to editing to prepping everything that you need is right here and you get it as an stl or a ply output, all right all right, i’m here with joe from 3d systems. What do you got here? So i got the sense: 3d scanner from 3d systems brand new just came out yesterday.

It’S a portable handheld scanner, uh scans. Anything from a six inch object to a 10-foot object. So it’s very versatile. It’S very portable and i think, we’ll be able to show just how portable it is right now in this demo, all right, you’re gon na scan me all right.

Let’S go should i stand i’ll stand like this. Come around one more time, oh wow, all right! Let’S see what we get from the 3d scan, that was a very good one, you’re very scandigenic. Thank you wow, oh my gosh. So this is what we got.

The 3d scanner is based on prime sense technology uh and our software really enhances what the hardware from the prime sense can already do. So we’re capturing not only 3d data but also color data. So if you want to use one of 3d systems high-end industrial printers, you can go in and print this in full color. So you can go, let’s go in. We can check out the model, see there’s a couple of holes, but that’s not a big deal, because the software is very intuitive and it can fill all those holes in so the solidify process is going to fill in the holes. It’S going to do it.

Logically, it’s not going to give you a cone head or like a block head or anything like that. It’S going to try to take the data, it did collect and extrapolate in a logical way and say: oh, this is a chin. I’M not going to extrude like a big bump out of there, so this even you know, there’s a couple of things that you could just for for some swipe out like in photos.

Oh incredible, it’s a very logical interface, very easy to modify for something that you did just on the spot on the floor of a convention center. I think that’s actually rather very powerful, it’s very incredibly powerful software and when is it available? This is available right now. On cubify.com sense and starting on november 18th is going to be available in staples as well.

Okay, thank you very much. Let me give you a button and i got scan button. I got scanned, but it’s a badge of pride. Oh absolutely so you have been scanned and we’ll have this model and maybe we’ll be able to put it on the internet yeah. Let’S get it we’ll get it online and we’ll have people print it up.

Thanks a lot good to see you .
