Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Bitalino DiY Body Signals”.
All right, i’m here at engadget, expand with hugo from bittolino. What is bitalino birlino? Is this all-in-one toolkit very low-cost that allows anyone from students to professional app developers to create their own projects and applications based on body signals out of the box? You have a purpose-built, microcontroller, bluetooth connectivity, a battery charger, and then you have these nifty sensors for ekg muscle activity, nervous system and accelerometry, but it actually has a nice thing to it, which is you can snap off the different components and make kind of like these Stamp sized wearable devices that you can use to make your own gadgets this one right here is actually controlling the light that you see behind me. So i’m using the motion sensor to turn things on or off, but there are other very cool projects that you can do with it um. I have also a car right here, um that i can show you this one is actually being controlled by my muscle at some time so i’ll just put down the demo here, uh, and so this one here is, will actually be start to start to be controlled. With my muscle, okay, so this could be a wheelchair or any other power device.
I can also do more serious stuff so normally to to keep the costs low. The devices are sold without any enclosure, but we are now actually working with people from the fine arts faculty, especially when in lisbon that we and we are doing 3d printed stuff. All of this was 3d printed, the box, the cast for the silicone molding, and this is actually an ekg monitor that you can snap onto your chest and it measures. Medical grade signals like this, one that you see here and you get to look like iron man. As well, so it’s pretty cool. So that’s great thank you for showing us all around bittolino. Now this is going to be available in the maker shed right yeah exactly pretty soon. You guys will see this on the micro shed because we we are negotiating with we.
