Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “The LED Artist at Maker Faire Bay Area 2014”.
Hi, my name is aki the aka, the led artist from brooklyn new york. I have a new project that i’m introducing at this maker faire called collider 60, which is a collection of uh square boards with many leds that runs the lights run around like a on a circle as the light hit at the same spot. At the same time, they collide and make sound and and flash, and by changing the speed of each board, you get to have very interesting interaction between them. I have a few different projects that i’ve done in the past. Some of them are actually sold at maker shed. One of them is color organ, which is a very popular project that you feed sound.
I mean the music and it reacts to sound. I mean the color. Many people know color organ from the 60s.
This is just a remake of color organ using leds, yeah people, people tend to be captivated by the way my leds light people find it um, uh mesmerizing, that’s kind of how i feel about it too, so i always have a few projects on the horizon. I can’t discuss too much but um it’s to do with wearables, with more colors and interaction with music. That’S the next one! That’S coming up! I get so many great reactions and meet so many great people at maker faire. I get like wonderful, positive energy from and also maker shed has been very generous to me.
