Master Control Station & Heptagon Server Monolith

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Master Control Station & Heptagon Server Monolith”.
I’M byron russell and i live in fresno california. This is the master control station and heptagon server monolith and there two interactive sculptures. One is a eulogy for the control panel and the other one is a an idol for us to worship, big data uh. I love it when kids get addicted to the to the tactile.

You know aspect of all the inputs and i consider it a win when your mom or dad has to ask three times or drag a kid away from the board. I love coming to maker faire because there’s always something different and unexpected and that’s the same kind of energy that i wanted us to bring with the heptagon project so giving people a surprise. I i started thinking about when i was a child and i’d go to places like the exploratorium and be into the science for a little bit and then start to want to use my imagination pretend that i was controlling a spaceship or something like that, and so I wanted to give that same experience to kids and maybe uh spark some thoughts in the older kids about um how technology is changing and how, as cool as something like this could be it’s in the past that we’re never going to have any more giant control Stations because everything is so much more digital, everything is an app there’s, no more need for dedicated controllers. I really love the the crowd that comes to maker faire, there’s so many different technical people, creative people and so many mixtures of the two kids older people and they all get a little bit different experience out of the uh out of the project. You know everybody’s gon na have a little bit different experience, but i just love hearing what people have to say their advice, their ideas, their desire to contribute. You .
