Hi, i’m casey from cgs motorsports and we’re working on a transit connect for make when we were first contacted by make and ford motor company about building this project and they started talking about. You know some type of a van that somebody could just think of an idea as they’re driving down the road and find a cool spot to pull over open the van up and just go to work. I thought well, that sounds like a cool idea and why wouldn’t anybody want that? You know, and then they got together with some people on the magazine and came up with this idea of you know: let’s hold a contest of what they think would be an ideal van. We used one of their ideas and came up with our version of what their idea is, and this is what we’re building the transit connect is also going to have 3d printer inside it’ll have everything from grinders to soldering, irons to digital multimeters. Basically, anything you could possibly think of that you would need to fab any idea you come up with it’ll have on-board compressor, it’ll have a on-board generator to run whatever you’re going to run.
At that time, it’ll have laptop cad programs. Anything you can think of. It. Should have inside the vehicle so far what we’ve done is. We’Ve had two slides built, one coming out the back one.
Coming off the side we custom made mounts and brackets and in a full platform for it to mount to, but everything bolts to the factory seat bolts, so everything bolt, there’s no extra holes or any kind of welding done to the actual car. In this thing, everything’s bolted in so you can unbolt it. If you wanted to put the seats back in it and it’d be a stock van we’ve taken the stock leather seats and we’ve taken them apart, cut the backs of them out, had the backside redone.
So all these things will mount on the back of here and it’ll include pretty much everything you could possibly think of as far as flashlights knives screwdrivers. Basically, it’s a kind of a combat style vest mounted to the back of your seat slide that shut slide. Your side door closed and everything’s inside you don’t have to worry about moving stuff in and out moving stuff in and out when you want to work, i mean you can literally think of an idea and pull over at that spot and jump in the back and Start making stuff you .
