Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Catching up with Jimmy DiResta”.
Hey it’s mike we’re at south by southwest crit, i’m hanging out with jimmy duress. I’M super excited about this uh here at the dremel booth. So um you just flew into town you’re. Doing some work. Tell me about what do you, what you got going on at south by southwest uh? Well, i started talking with dremel and they want me to come here and teach kids how to make cars using their tools, so i’m gon na be at the spot here today. Uh using the the jigsaw and the rotary tools and just showing kids how to make little rolly cars and whatever else very cool how’s it going so far, really good. I just got here so i’m just getting acquainted with the the tools and the kids and the and the machines, but i’m sure once i get started, i’m gon na go crazy.
You got the feeling you might yeah you’re pretty good, though i’m excited to see what you’re gon na put together so uh. In addition to that uh event tonight that you’ll be at as well tell everyone about that. There’S an event taking place for dremel at the drop house in east austin. I think east 12th street and they’re going to try and raise money. Correct me, if i’m wrong the tinker house, yeah austin tinkering school for kids, they’re gon na raise some money with some products that artists made. I’M gon na.
Have my cat house there on display it’s not available, but it’s gon na be there on display tonight and uh yeah just chatting people up and having fun very cool, i’m excited to see the cat house in person. It was a really great video. Thank you.
Thank you very much. That was a fun one. That was like one of my videos. That’S like spontaneous! It’S like what am i gon na make two minutes later, i’m making a video. So so what do you got coming up? What’S new? I have a actually i i wrote out a list of my notebook, i’m constantly making notes lists of videos that i’m going to make and uh.
I want to do another book, binding video and a different method. Um, i’m gon na do a cannon for one of my fans wanting to make them a cannon. Like a. I forgot what it’s called the carbide cannon where it like booms off the front of like a boat.
I just put out the cnc video of my push. Stick which was a good one and uh i’m gon na try and do some more cnc projects where i cut out like multiples of things and stack them to create a volume. So i got some stuff like that in mind. I want to do. Oh, i want to do um apple boxes that, like production companies use, my friends got a five by nine foot, cnc bed at a company he works at so i’m gon na do a video using that machine and i’m gon na lay out finger. Jointed apple boxes, of course, they’ll be my brand on it.
So i’m gon na make about 10 apple boxes for my shop, that’s great! Well, uh i’ll! Let you get back to helping out all these kids and um excited to get a chance to talk to you.
