Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Anouk’s Bubble Dress and Limited Edition Pink Teensy”.
Hi, i’m david with make and we’re in the maker media lab, and today we caught up with a nuke who’s, actually working on something for maker faire. Can you tell us about it? Um? Yes, so i am creating a design which is gon na shoot bubbles like bubble gum and uh yeah, just for something fun at the maker faire to uh to a horse around in that sounds great and you’re. Actually, when this came in, this was white right. So, are you spray painting it? How are you getting the great pink color yeah, i just um. We were here at the makercon, so i thought like hey. Why not work here at make to see how that works, so uh yeah i’ve been uh costing it in yesterday it’s called chips, and today i spray painted it at pink yeah here in the in the make space and uh yeah, i’m soon ready for patterns, and Then i’m gon na integrate uh my electronics in there. That’S that’s really amazing, so i’m not into fashion.
You can probably tell, and i’m just curious. How does it work so do you pattern? Is that like rapid prototyping in the fashion world, or can you tell tell us a little bit about how you work to make a design yeah yeah? Well, first, you make the design the interaction. What you want to create, what it’s going to do, because i’m working with technology, so you want to have any kind of interaction so yeah.
Well, i know it’s going to shoot bubbles. So that’s that’s simple! Then you want to have a mount where the bubbles are going in. So that is what i created here.
So that’s basically the shoulder piece um. So the bubbles are going to be like uh yeah in here, so they fall out. This is a little bit heightened. So they fall out, they come in here and then they go into these um yeah into these um these spaces and then they uh yeah.
Then they pop out so um and so yeah. Then you go on like you also need to have the dress, because yeah the shoulders is not enough. So what you can see here is that i created a pattern, so this is basically the the front. The sides – and this is yeah – how the whole pattern is laid out.
It’S a leather because i like to work with leather because it goes well with 3d prints, because if you work with a fabric with a woven and 3d print, it looks a little bit dull. But yeah letters have the same shine and the same same surface treatment as 3d prints, so uh, so that that merges really well and it’s yeah, it’s really it’s nice around the body, yeah, that’s really fascinating and totally outside of my comfort zone. So i’m glad you’re here to help help walk us through, so you actually have another another thing to show us today too right. You have a well tell us about it, yeah well, uh.
We all know that the teensies from the pulse and uh yeah i got together with paul, and i said, like hey: let’s make a pink one for the yeah just for why not perfect yeah for fun, so uh yeah! So this is it uh? It’S uh! It’S my addition: it’s the new condition of the teensy. It’S an um, it’s a pink tnc, uh. 3.1. That’S uh that work on the lounge here at the maker faire and yeah i embedded in my in my designs. That is absolutely great. I i’m definitely gon na.
Have to pick one up and it’s exactly the same teensy right other than the the awesome color and the the fact that it’s your limited edition model right, yeah, yeah, yeah, so awesome cool!
