Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Megabots – Giant Humanoid Combat Robots”.
Actually wait is that is it real? Oh, my god, it’s a it’s. A real mech you’ve built a real mech. This is like the most amazing thing. I’Ve ever seen. Hi. My name is matt orland, i’m one of the co-founders of megabots megabots is a giant fighting robots company. You can find us at megabots.com or on facebook megabots inc, we’re here at maker faire bay area 2015 uh to showcase the first full-size mobile dual weapon, megabot that we’ve built over the last 100 days in partnership with autodesk um.
So we’re just bringing the megabot out here we’re blowing up a car uh just doing all kinds of crazy, crazy stuff out here to uh to get people aware of megabots and the crazy sports league that we’re about to build what you see back here, uh the First parts we started around nine months ago, um, and that would be like the torso and the right cannon. That’S the remainder of it! The legs, the tracks, the other weapon system, was all built in the last 100 days. The next step for us is to build out the first full-scale walking robot, so it’ll be a humanoid robot with two legs um that balances walks runs uh. All that kind of stuff stands 15 feet tall. This already stands 15 feet tall, but we are going to build a walking one that stands 15 feet tall and then we’re going to create a kit of parts that does all of the hard robotic stuff so that other people can build 15 foot tall giant, fighting Robots too and then bring them to a stadium and battle them in combat .
