Making with the Sprout by HP

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Making with the Sprout by HP”.
And i run the ecosystem team for sprout and we’re responsible for strategic partnerships, applications and content for the sprout platform. Sprout is a new immersive computing platform. Why we believe sprout is great for makers. It was built for makers by makers.

Making with the Sprout by HP

The inventor team actually are all makers in their own right. What sprout does it gives you a quick and easy way to take whether it’s a physical or digital item and mash it together to whatever you want, and you can constantly tweak and constantly change it, and so we think it’s great for makers, because a project is Never finished and your end result in the project is sometimes not what you start out with. You want a computing system that can keep up with all that creativity, we believe everyone inside is creative. Just like, i think the maker movement believes everyone inside is a maker. So you can take the sprout and you can constantly think of different ideas and different prototypes and that’s where sprout can really help you in that phase of kind of all the fusion going on in your head. The event is absolutely amazing on multiple fronts, it’s the first time for the sprout team to be here and it’s great to see all the projects being done live by just the community here, and it’s also great that our entire team is learning so much and seen So much we have hundreds of ideas for next year’s maker faire, just from absorbing all the cool trends and ideas here, we’re really thrilled to be here. We’Ve got multiple experiences on sprout for maker faire.

Just like there are multiple types of makers. So behind me, we have julian from graffiti kings uk, he’s an amazing graffiti artist and he’s taking a beta of our stop motion app. You can do stop start animation, films, yourself and he’s just creating on different masks, and you can see literally through the film how the art grows and becomes an artistic piece. We have three other zones happening at maker faire one zone is create your own origami, so you have a physical piece of paper and it’ll. Take you through all the steps to create a crane, a fish or boat. We have another section, which is all things 3d.

Take a 3d snapshot see how you do the n10 workflow to 3d print. We’Ve got another section for design projects. One of our projects is based on a new app called light stencil, where you can project down a design and you can either trace it on paper. You can stencil it onto a piece of wood and then we don’t have drills or butane going at our booth because we’re inside.

So you can take that piece of wood over to our friends at dremel and drill that thing in. If you want to go all the way and then lastly, just as i mentioned about julian with stop animation, we have other sprouts here. If you want to try and attempt what julian’s doing as well, you .
