National Maker Faire: New Boogie Board Writers

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “National Maker Faire: New Boogie Board Writers”.
Okay, we’re at the boogie board booth here with Hunter. Last time we saw boogie board, they were at engadget, expand in New York City. They are now at the National Maker Faire here in DC and they’re, going to show us a quick overview of their product, plus they actually have a pretty cool new prototype here that they’re debuting, so hunter tell us about what you do. So we make the boogie board product and it’s basically a writing surface that you can.

You can write on and erase so it’s an electronic product, but it’s actually very analog. So this is our latest example of our write and erase product where you literally just write an erase our previous products at the same technology. The great thing about this one, that’s coming out for back-to-school is that it’s got this really high contrast writing, which also has allowed us to develop an app that goes along with it.

The app allows you to put a shopping list on there put it on the fridge. You can take a quick shot of it and it’ll save it to your photo. Album wow, that’s really cool. So this is coming out. This fall and then another phone product. That’S coming out for holiday this year is the plan trace, so the plane trace, uses the same, write and erase technology, but the fun part about this one is that now we can trace stuff, so kids can practice tracing letters or drawing and those kind of more Structured activities, so so we’ve seen a few different kinds of these tablets out there are there any that actually allow you to trace, or that are transparent.

I’Ve never seen that before um. No, this is the the first of its kind. So are our writing.

Surface is different than any other tablet and that it’s not using any power when you’re writing on it. It’S much more like paper in the sense that you’re just writing on it when you’re done with it, instead of throwing it out, you erase it and then the traceable one is is just another level deeper where it’s it’s electronic still, but you can trace, and so It’S the first one of its kind that you write or category yeah. It’S actually pretty cool if you get a chance to stop on by national Maker Faire, make sure you stop at the boogie board booth and try it out.

It’S really. It’S almost magical the way it works. I’Ve never seen that and I’m a big fan. I can’t wait to get these for my kids, so thank you so much for coming to National Maker Faire and we’ll see it the next one. Thanks a lot. .
