Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Seeed Manufactures Genuino in China”.
Hi, this is dale doherty we’re at maker faire. Shenzhen just came out of a a talk where massimo bonzi made some announcements. Do you want to tell us what you just said? Oh yeah, so we um, we announced that we’re partnering with the seed studio to manufacture the genuine products in this in this country. For china, we’re also partnering on a number of initiatives related to education, so we’re bringing some of our education programs to the chinese schools through a partnership with seed studio.
I actually went to see some schools this weekend. They are amazing, so you know i think, there’s really going to be this kind of maker culture. This is gon na. Add a lot right. In the past there were some arduinos made in china, but they listed made in italy right well, yeah.
I’Ve shown some of them yeah. Well, obviously, there was there still is a number of people who are making copies of arduino, but i think we need to move past that stage. So that’s why we’re working with eric it’s about making stuff in china and being proud of it, and not just you know, making a copy of something else, and just putting made in italy makes sense eric what does it mean to really start making uh genuine products? Here and really trying to get the chinese community and the in the arduino community. I think the chinese euro already asio for many many years, a huge number of them, but they were kind of alone from the global arena and make a community.
Now. I think it’s a very strong message that inviting all the people come now we are part of the family, you know we can share and to contribute and a lot of times. I can flow back and forth yeah. When will these first boards be available? I think they will be available within a month.
It’S very, very ready. Okay, and you have one to show us there you go. I heard you’re pretty happy with the quality of it. Oh yeah, they’re, amazing, and also it was pretty interesting how we basically had very very little communication and they just board came out perfect. It’S very interesting.
