Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Dremel at World Maker Faire 2015”.
Hi, I’m Patrick would make and I’m at Maker Faire 2015 and I’m joined by John Cavanaugh John caverns, with dremel he’s president of dremel and after 80 years. What’S new with tremble John well, Patrick there’s there’s a lot new at Dremel, especially since we announced the Dremel 3d idea builder last Maker Faire in New York. It’S meant so much for our business and our business has changed dramatically. But, what’s amazing is how much has helped our traditional business and that’s. Of course, dremel is known as your work or the rotary tool manufacturer and and we’ve had record sales and rotary tools worldwide, which indicates that the maker movement is not just growing. But it’s very global for us as far as 3d, we’ve learned so much in the past year about 3d and the amount of excitement with our customers and with our end users has been just fantastic, and it’s introduced us to so many new makers and reintroduced us To some of our existing makers – and so it’s very exciting for us, and what we’ve learned is that we’ve learned that we we’ve got a partner and work with other people and extending and making the best end-to-end experience for the users.
And that’s been a big part of our focus in the last year on 3d. So there’s a lot more you’ll see in the future with us, but one of the things you’ll see and you’ll see it at this show is our partnership with companies like Autodesk and in particular, HP I’m trying to make a better end-to-end experience in 3d, but we Don’T forget our roots and what you’ll also see at this show is the first ever vacuum powered rotary tool, and so for someone who has a shopback doesn’t have a rotary tool. It provides them shopback, that’s a lot more versatile, but as a rotary tool. It’S also great for sanding grinding etching and detailed cutting work, so you’ll see that here at the booth I’ll tell what to call its the VRT one. It’S also great we’re seeing a lot of kids use it on projects, because it’s safe and the best part is it cleans up the workspace as you work, that’s really exciting, Johnson.
So what else ideal here at the show? Well, we’re very proud to be showing and demonstrating our partnership with HP and, in particular, their sprout product, as we’ve worked on bundled programs with them in getting into retail distribution and into education. So it’s a great end-to-end solution project with HP. We bring some of their fantastic technology to work with our three D idea builder and it really is providing and making a much better user experience for everyone by really providing that great end-to-end experience.
