Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Maker Mondays: Adam Savage”.
My name is miles and this is make with miles maker mondays in this series. I’M going to be asking makers three different questions. What’S your favorite tool, what’s the first thing that you made and what’s one piece of advice for young makers, let’s go: what is the one tool i use more that i never thought i would wow. That’S a really good question. I mean, i want to say a calculator. Frankly, i was surprised by how much i have fallen in love with math as an adult.
Given my high school career in math – i i would say if you don’t know about forstner bits, i mean i think this card probably does, but there’s this whole class of tools that you won’t learn about. By going to ace hardware right, they’ll tell you about hammers and allen, wrenches and crescent wrenches and socket sets. But forstner bits are one of these tools that someone has to kind of introduce you to how wonderful it is to understand that for 35 bucks you can throw any hole up to two inches perfectly straight sides.
I before i had a milling machine. I did milling operations with forstner bits because you can forster bits are amazing and i literally use them every single day. I’M actually yeah, i’m 25 year old. Me is surprised about that. If you guys haven’t heard by now, maker faire won’t be happening. You .
