Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Its time to upgrade your monitor! + Giveaway”.
So there’s still a lot of us working from home, so using the right monitor can definitely impact our workflow and gaming experience. So in this article, I’m just gon na go over to separate monitors that MSI has to offer for different needs. That I think you guys might be interested in also MSI is giving me three optics gaming monitors that I’m gon na be giving away to my subscribers. So if you guys want to know how to enter for that, stick around till the end of the video, so the first martyr we’re looking at is this 34 inch ultra wide curved monitor.
It’S got a 34 40 by 1440p resolution with a 120 hertz refresh rate and a 1 millisecond response time. Putting these in specs for a gaming. Ultra wide, however, might be a deal-breaker for those who are looking for at least 844 hertz panel. The monitor has a solid stand, that’s built really well, it doesn’t have any shake or wobble even at its highest point, and it does come with some adjustability as well. You get the usual height tilt and swivel.
The only adjustment you can’t do with it is rotation. Also, the monitor does have a VA panel, so you get great viewing angles and color reproduction and overall, I would say I had a lot of fun gaming on the ultra wide. However, it’s not something I would recommend for competitive gaming simply because of its aspect ratio. I would say casual gaming would be perfect for this or anything productivity related.
One cool feature that might be useful to gamers is the night vision which enhances the shadows. Making the darker scenes stand out more, so you can see enemies a lot easier. One thing I like about the monitor are the accessories that it comes with. This is actually the first time I’ve seen a monitor, come with a webcam mount and a detachable Mouse bungee, so the webcam mount can be attached anywhere on the top of the monitor and you can even adjust the angle with the built-in ball head, pretty cool. It also comes with a detachable Mouse bungee, which you can hook up, underneath the monitor on either side. So yeah that’s the ultra ride, and then we have the mag 161 V, which is a 15 inch 1080p portable display that you can use as a second display to your workstation or as a main, monitor for your console. That’S why guys you can hook this up to your console and game practically anywhere. You want, because of its portable form factor.
It comes with a mini, HDMI cable, and you can use this to plug it directly into your console or computer now to power it on. You will need to use one of the two USB C cables that it comes with. One has a regular USB type, a plug, and the other has a USB type-c. So you can plug this either into your PC power bank or even into the console itself.
I mean it doesn’t have a crazy high refresh rate, but it doesn’t need to since consoles, are pretty much capped at 60 Hertz anyways. It does have an IPS display. However, so you get vibrant colors with great viewing angles.
Speaking of viewing angles, the monitor does come with a magnetic cover which you can fold into a kickstand, giving the monitor two comfortable angles to view from it also protects the display from scratches or damages. If you plan on traveling with it so yeah, two really solid, monitor choices for two completely different needs.
