Setup Wars - Episode 219

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Setup Wars – Episode 219”.
What’S happening guys, i’m texting us welcome to setup warriors episode 219. The series where we show off some of the best setups in the world to give you inspiration and tips on how to improve your very own. If you want to participate on the show make sure to watch the video linked down below, but with that said, sit back and relax, because you know what time it is it’s time for set up boys as a content creator. It’S very important for me to save time and money instead of taking time out of my busy schedule to go out there and shoot scenes for my videos i use storyblocks.

Instead, it was also kind enough to sponsor today’s video storyblocks has the largest offering of over 1 million royalty-free assets. I can’t begin to tell you how convenient it is, having access to everything from stock photos to videos and even music and sound effects. All in one place, i like using the abstract backgrounds the most to grab the viewer’s attention.

I’M sure you guys have seen me use a few of these in the past videos, but i also use a lot of their sound effects in my videos as well. They offer an affordable, unlimited all-access subscription plan, which gives you access to everything, and the best part is that you keep everything you download permanently. They even added an easy to use editing program called maker which doesn’t require any experience to use. So if you’re starting a youtube channel – or you want to get into editing, then this is something you should definitely try out. Storyblocks is one of the best resources to have as a content creator, and i can’t recommend it enough so definitely check them out by visiting storyblocks.com, techsource or click. The link down below kicking off the show is carson coming from somewhere deep in the jungle, who is also an active member of my discord server now the first time i saw this setup, i immediately thought of carter set up from episode.

193. Remember that vietnam camouflage setup he built in his basement. Well, that’s what this setup kind of reminds me of minus, a bunch of leaves and plants. Of course i feel like if tarzan built a setup.

It would look something like this, so the setup is used for work from home photo and video editing with some casual gaming on the side. There’S a lot of things that stood out to me from this setup, but the main thing has to be the awesome custom desk that he built. If you look at it from the bottom, you can kind of see how we went about connecting the pieces together. Using l brackets in the corners with a backboard he installed behind it to hide all the cables, i’m definitely loving the nature.

Vibe he’s got going on here with all the fake leaves and plants. It’S got a nice balance of modern and old century with those desk lamps as well. I also like his monitor layout very similar to mine, but with the 27 inch 4k display tilted near the bottom to make room for a 25 inch up top as an overhead. He used to have one of the monitors in vertical mode, but found that it wasn’t really useful, so we changed it up to this one for more functionality. There’S definitely a lot of stuff on the desk. Some of the smaller things like the knife, notebook and watch could be stored away if not being used, but overall, i think he did a great job. Keeping everything organized and tidy for peripherals carson is rocking ducky.

One too many in white paired with the logitech g pro x mouse, and he did indeed drill a hole in desk to route the keyboard wire and the wires from both of the logitech mx speakers. All the cables are routed towards the back of the desk with some channel raceways, which are then plugged into a power step other than the speakers he’s also using a pair of g-pro x headphones that he has hanging neatly from the side of the desk and an At2020 microphone that he tucked away on a boom arm behind the monitor. I also like how the pc is kind of camouflaged within all of that greenery.

We have the r9 3950x processor in here with 64 gigs of ram and the gigabyte rtx 2070 super, which will be upgraded to a 30 series card very soon. Carson not only did a fantastic job, designing his setup, but also the rest of his room as well. He mounted a tv on the wall right in front of his bed with a couple of wall shelves underneath for a bit of decoration. He wanted to make his basement room as cozy as possible, and i think he achieved it. I’M getting these really chill and relaxing vibes from these night pictures, excellent setup and execution carson. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Coming on number two is fahad from saudi arabia and his cyberpunk inspired gaming room. I have never seen a game get this much hype before it’s released to a point where people are already obsessing about it, i’m seeing custom cyberpunk being pcs and now setups being popped up everywhere. I just really hope it lives up to its hype, because i’m one of those fanboys who are actually excited for the game too. So the main setup is where he does most of the pc gaming.

It’S a pretty compact setup built with a motorized base and a lineman tabletop. It might be too cramped for some people, but fahad did a great job, keeping everything evenly spaced out and organized he’s using a 27-inch razor raptor monitor, which is the first time i’m seeing on the show and for peripherals. We’Ve got the corsair k70 keyboard with the rog chakram gaming mouse. What’S interesting here is that he used a tiny right angle, raceway to help wrap the keyboard wire underneath the mousepad and through the desk, which i haven’t seen before. But i love the dedication here.

All the cables are routed underneath the desk using these custom raceways that he built and into a signum. In the back for speakers, he did keep things simple: the national a50 gaming headset for output and a blue ember microphone for input. Fod stated in the notes that he is going to be streaming really soon.

Hence why he’s got the full go xlr mixer in combination with the elgato stream deck, but he’s also rocking dual pcs as well. My man is fully equipped and ready to go. The streaming pc is a pre-built with an i7 9700 kf and a gtx 1070, while the main gaming pc is equipped with a ryzen 7 3800x and the asus strix rtx 2080ti white edition such an awesome looking build by the way i love the custom cables. You added and great choice on the cooler.

I don’t know if you knew this by the way, but you can buy a heat sink cover with white inserts, so it adds a bit of white to the cooler and if you want to take it a step further, you can even paint the heat sink cover. As well, which, i think will look amazing in your build one of the things i love about fahad’s cyberpunk gaming room is that he didn’t go overboard with the decoration or the art it’s really clean and has a bit of minimalism to it. I can definitely see myself chilling on those floor.

Sofas. Tell me those don’t look comfortable to sit on. I especially love the painted ikea wall shelves in the corner and even match the controllers on the switch, a perfectly executed and refreshing cyberpunk themed gaming room.

Thank you. Fod for sharing it with us coming all the way from finland is junis and his minimalistic gaming setup that he built on the elephant. Ergo desk, i’m absolutely loving the monochrome theme he was going for a lot of setups, try and replicate this, but failed to commit. So it’s nice to see that june has stayed consistent. All throughout we got a 27 asus monitor hooked up to the desk with a leopold, keyboard and logitech g pro wireless mouse. As much as i appreciate you using a cable clip to help wrap the keyboard wire and believe me, i’m happy to see that there are much smaller, cable clips that aren’t as noticeable that you can use for this.

With that said, i can’t say i’m a big fan of the cable coming out of your headphones that plugs into the amplifier. An easy fix for this would be to add some double-sided 3m tape on the back of the amp and stick it underneath the desk closer to the edge. So, if you ever need to adjust the volume, you can still do so pretty easily. This way you can eliminate all the necessary cables from the surface. Also, you might have to hang the headphones from underneath the desk if you decide to go that route, but luckily there are millions of budget headphone anchors that you can buy speaking of cables. Can we appreciate the amount of work he put into the cable management underneath the desk? I do want to point out how awesome those raceways are by the way, because, in addition to covering the wires, they also have the option to route the cables out from the sides.

So, let’s say, there’s a cable, that’s too short to pass through the entire raceway. Well, you have the option of pulling it out from the sides through the many cutouts it offers, which is really useful in some situations. I got ta get myself some of these for the next dream setup upgrade and finally, we got the custom pc powering the setup which has the 9900k and an rtx 2080 ti with the nzxt kraken g12 cooler. Personally, i wouldn’t have added that, since the asus card already has an awesome cooler, but if you’re going for that old nzxt theme, then i can understand why again really great job sticking to the monochrome color scheme in here.

But i would use some more cable combs to clean up those cables a bit. The setup could definitely use some touch-ups, but overall it’s a solid start to a great setup. Thank you junis for entering, who is that handsome delicious little man on the tv? Well, that is none other than heat source, the man himself and what appears to be a part of a triple display setup. This is justin’s dorm room setup that he uses for productivity, gaming and, of course, school work at first.

I was a bit intimidated by the amount of displays, but upon further inspection of the setup, i was pleasantly surprised that it was somewhat budget-friendly he’s using two 24 inceptor monitors and a budget 55 inch tcl tv up top. Even the peripherals are budget focused using the red dragon k582 keyboard and the m801p wireless gaming mouse. I guess i’m just surprised, because within all that sea of budget gaming gear we have some high-end apple products as well like the 2018 13-inch ipad pro and a 15-inch macbook pro.

I guess we know where most of the budget went to my man. Justin has a little bit of everything he’s, definitely getting the best of all three worlds: he’s got apple products, two consoles and a custom pc to complete the collection. There’S just so much temptation over here, and it would be too distracting if this was my dorm setup.

I would fail all of my classes in a heartbeat. I wish you included some pics of your pc, but after finding out it’s a pre-built from digital storm, i would be ashamed of showing it off as well. Thank you, justin for entering and good luck with your studies. Man wrapping up the episode is ken’s happy place from orange county.

California he’s a college instructor, and this is the setup uses for pretty much everything from work to gaming streaming and the extremely frequent fap session. That is good to know ken. That is good to know. He built the setup on top of a 74-inch act back in countertop with a few capital legs to give it some spacing between the alex drawers he’s rocking dual stack: 27 inch 144 inch monitors with a 32 inch off the side in vertical mode, and can we Just take a moment to appreciate how the vertical monitor is the perfect height of both of the other monitors for peripherals ken is using the techware phantom gaming keyboard with hyperx double shot, putting keycaps and the logitech g502 proteus mouse.

He said in the notes that he doesn’t want to drill a hole in the desk to route the cables, and i can respect that, but at least pick up an air duster or some windex to clean up the mouse pad and the wrist rest a little bit. It’S looking more crustier than my grandpa’s feet, alright, so here’s the thing this setup looks very cluttered right. I don’t like the placement of the mixer and the stream deck they are in a very awkward spot. Those need to be much closer to you, preferably right in front of you, so it’s easier to press, but the issue here is the monitors are taking up all that space from your desk.

The bottom part of the monitors are practically touching the desk, leaving you with no extra space underneath it to store your streaming gear, so i would strongly recommend repositioning some of your monitors. Personally, i would have gone with a tie fighter style with the 32 inch in the middle and both 27 inch on the sides. Giving you a lot of extra space to work with.

But the 32 inch monitor is only capped at 60 hertz and it wouldn’t make sense this way. I feel, like you, shot yourself in the foot with this monitor layout. I also feel like those funko pop boxes deserve to be in a better place than just stacking them on your desk, like that, if you really are into collecting these – and you have a passion for this, then they deserve more attention than they are getting the pc Partner setup is probably the only thing that i don’t have any feedback on this set. Actually, i lied. What’S going on with your rear fan, does the lighting not work, or did you turn it off yourself by the way bonus points for that baby, groot hanging from the cables overall, i’m sorry to say, but i’m a bit disappointed because i know the setup has the Potential to be so much more, but there are definitely some interesting choices that have been made. I would say the biggest roadblock for this setup has to be the monitor layout. If you fix that everything else will fall in place. Nonetheless, thank you ken for entering, and that is it for this episode, as always make sure to leave a comment down below on which of these was your favorite setup and if you guys enjoyed the video, consider dropping a like before you head out, as it does Help out the channel a lot, if you guys are new here, consider dropping a sub because we do set up words every single monday, thanks again so much for watching.
