Friday’S here and if you were looking forward to the Windows 10 October, update hitting your PC this weekend, because you’ve got frankly nothing better going on. You may want to take pause, because a pretty major issue has been discovered. The update is apparently randomly deleting users personal files. According to several reports now some folks say that they’ve simply had personal data directories like the Documents, folder shunted over to a separate Drive or a different folder or who, for some reason, the recycle bin. But others are saying: they’ve had files outright deleted with one user posting to the Microsoft community website, claiming that 23 years worth of files, 220 gigabytes have vanished without a trace.
Although Microsoft says it’s investigating the reports, there’s no word yet on when a fix might be coming. So, in the meantime, back up your data, just in case like clippy’s gone, rogue and we’re all in for it Apple, has long been notorious for having products that have been difficult to repair unless you send your busted iphone or iMac or a router or whatever. It is back to Apple itself or to an authorized service provider, but they’ve taken things one step further recently, according to reports as a new security chip called the t2, which is present on the 2018 versions of the MacBook Pro and the iMac Pro actually totally locks Down the system, if an unauthorized repair is even attempted, so users won’t be able to get back into their Mac’s until a proprietary Apple software utility is run to restore functionality, meaning you have to take the system directly to Apple or to an authorized repair shop anyway. It appears that most attempts at hardware replacement will trigger a system lockdown, including trying to replace the logic board.
The display, storage or even human interface devices like the keyboard or touchpad hey, but it’s easy to use. Yeah Nintendo would probably be none too happy by the way, if you have a gameboy emulator on your phone, but in the near future this might no longer be necessary, as Nintendo has filed a patent for a smartphone case.
