No I’m here and we’re hosting doing the tech news, cool tech news yesterday at GDC 2019 Google showed us all the future of gaming and guess what guys, if you thought it was a box, it’s not it’s a place, a stadium, or rather a stadia Google stadia – Is a games streaming service that’ll run on any PC running Chrome, any TV equipped with a chromecast or any mobile device with the app stadia will have virtually no local processing. Everything will run off of cloud machines powered by CPUs and GPUs custom-built by AMD, with the ability to stream up to 4k and 60fps what they will stream beyond assassin’s creed and doom is still unclear, as stadia parently runs on Linux in the Vulcan API. The giant question on everyone’s mind, however, is latency. The stadia controller will connect directly to the stadia servers via Wi-Fi instead of routing through your device and Google says they developed a number of other ways to minimise lag on the back end. But we obviously can’t know for sure until the service launches digital foundry got some early testing done, it found that latency is obviously higher than local gaming on PC and consoles, and that isn’t gon na fly for intense multiplayer FPS games like anthem. What my favorite game! I hate anthem, as is usually the case with giant unveilings like this one. There was a lot of fanfare, not a lot of gritty details. If stadia does what it says it can do, it could be the start of a revolution in game streaming. I might even throw my gaming PC, I’m tossing it.
It’S gone. Nvidia also had a bunch of things to announce this week at GTC, 2019 they’re, so full of themselves that they had to have their own conference. Ray-Tracing will be coming to regular old, gtx graphics cards. The GTX 10 and 16 Series GPUs will be able to run a lower quality version of the technology once the update rolls out fan, CRT cores are known. Art CX is also coming to more games, including tomb raider. Finally, remedies upcoming game control and quake 2 of all things. It actually looks supercool and it’s interesting as a showcase of what fancy lighting and textures can do.
Even in low-polygon environments, the Unity game engine is also adding r-tx support as a built-in feature Wow. It’S almost enough to make you believe in the glory of ray tracing. I should probably per order yeah yeah pre-order.
Let’S do it I’m gon na. I want it. Yeah VR headsets are kind of blah, but the HP reverb seems to address some of the mediums problems. It has two LCD panels with 2160 by 2160 pixels per eye compared to the 2160 by 1200 per eye resolution of the HTC vive pro with a slightly larger field of view, as well it’ll be available in late April, starting at 600 USD whoop.
It also happens to look extremely similar to the oculus rift. That is not the new oculus rift s that was also just announced. The rift s is a four dollar PC, tethered headset. That removes the need for external tracking cameras, room-scale VR, that can be accomplished by a built-in tracking. It also has upgraded lenses and increased resolution, but is still just 1280 by 1440 per eye and for some reason, oculus reduced the refresh rate from 90 to 80 Hertz. No oculus, that’s you want higher refresh rates.

Google stadia is out of the bank, but Microsoft has been working on their game streaming. Service Project X cloud for a while. A leaked internal email from Xbox chief Phil Spencer to his team reveals that while Google went big with the reveal, the project X, cloud team has a couple of months until III, when they will go, big 2019 will be the year of game streaming.
