Hey everybody, i’m one of the ryans from android authority, and we are here at ifa, covering all the craziness going on walking the floor, checking out some cool tech. I ended up finding some really interesting things. Uh this week, there’s a lot of different stuff. So, let’s just get inside and let’s check it out.
While we really wanted to find something new and excited related directly to android, we ended up finding a bunch of other really cool stuff that we wanted to share. So here’s our top 10 key points that we took away from ifa 2022. Ai pets are creepy and they’re watching you. How would you like a pet that never eats never sleeps and is always watching you they’re being promoted as household pets or companions who can act as household security? They can either be remote controlled from an app or just mill around your home, like this cat. That can watch you with tracking or who knows what else. The surveillance technology component of ifa was truly a sobering reminder that there are a multitude of different technologies tracking us on a daily basis. Light can power headphones now.
Urbanista is shining a light on some really cool technology. The urbanista phoenix earbuds pack, 32 hours of playtime in the battery case, but oh yeah. They can also charge up with the power of light. A groundbreaking, powerfoil, solar cell material can charge the phoenix buds through the charge case from any available light source.
Urbanista says one hour of light is equal to one hour of playtime. We will always love 8bit, while there were plenty of great booths and cool, futuristic products from around the world. Twinkly’S booth really had us smiling the bright and colorful twinkly square has a release date of september 15, but this one took us back to the 8-bit days of old and had me searching for a reason not to steal one off the wall. 8-Bit art is awesome and it really helped their booth stand out enough with the rgb speakers already. We noticed at least 15 to 20 booths showing off rgb, clad bluetooth and karaoke style speakers, and it felt very unoriginal i think they’re played out. But do you think that they’re a little gimmicky or do you think it’s something that you would use on a regular basis? Tell us in the comments an e-scooter for every occasion we just kept seeing variations of e-scooters and e-bikes everywhere, and that’s not a bad thing, but one specifically stuck out to us as a great innovation and landed itself on the android authority. In my travels around ifa, i checked out what could only be described as one of the biggest washing machines i’ve ever seen, but that was quickly trumped by the impressively massive drones from autel robotics turns out, though, the big drones were just eye candy once at the Booth, their much smaller drones did all the talking the brand new autel evo 2 v3. Also, a winner of our best of ifa 2022 awards took the best of v2 and improved on it, for anyone who loves buying accessories for their tech, evo 2 v3 pairs with a number of new accessories to take your drone to the next level. Huawei says: don’t blow a gasket huawei had a great showing at ifa with plenty of phones and other tech to see, but they also had health diagnostics covered.
With the watch d, we’ve seen a few super chunky, blood pressure wearables with an inflatable cuff, but the huawei watch d is the first one we’d actually consider wearing every day. It can track your blood pressure multiple times a day without even pressing a button which, for some people is very important and it doesn’t look bad while doing it. Asus joins the fold.
Asus has officially joined in the race towards the ultimate foldable screen laptop with their zenbook 17 fold and as for folding devices, we want to know what you think: there’s folding phones, lg has their oled flex. Lenovo has their x1 fold and now asus with their zenbook. What do you think is next in the world of folding and flexing displays? You know you can even connect them with your ps5 or watch all of your favorite movies, all to yourself, samsung finds fun in simple things. In a past video i had said, foldables were getting boring, but could you imagine if samsung actually made a vending machine where you could pick your phone color and then a flip 4 popped out samsung’s going even harder these days on the bespoke angle and i’m really Feeling it, but who knows the future of customization could be coming to a vending machine near you, but those are just our top takeaways from what was an eventful and packed week at messe, berlin for android authority.
