Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “The Pixel 7 Series is Made for Photography!”.
The leaks and rumors are over. Google has finally launched the pixel 7 and pixel 7 Pro dishing out all the details on specs features and how you can grab one for yourself. The question, though, is whether or not you think it’s worth the upgrade. I’M C Scott Brown from Android authority, and I’m here to give you all the info you need on Google’s latest. Let’S start with the vanilla pixel 7.
just like last year. The pixel 7 is the cheaper of the two phones offering a basic package at a relatively low price speaking of last year. Hopefully you like the look of the pixel 6, because the pixel 7 doesn’t change up the design formula too much. There are some notable differences like this Sleek aluminum camera bar taking the place of the black glass and the phone’s display and its bezels getting slimmed down ever so slightly other than that. It’S the same basic design. You either loved or hated from the pixel 6., we’ll throw some specs on the screen here for you, but spoiler alert.
The specs haven’t changed much from last year. Either you’ve still got a 1080p display with a 90 Hertz refresh rate, eight gigabytes of RAM 128 gigabytes of internal storage at the low end and 256 gigabytes at the high and on and on even the rear. Camera Hardware is exactly the same. There are more similarities on this spec sheet than there are differences this time around.
Of course, there are some notable changes. First, the battery is a bit smaller about six percent, smaller, actually, obviously, that won’t make too big of a difference in the long run, but smaller is still smaller. Another change is the selfie camera. It gets upgraded from an 8 megapixel wide lens to a 10.8 megapixel. Ultra wide lens, which should make it easier for you to take group selfies or selfies with tons of background space. Another big change is the addition of Face Unlock.
This is the first pixel to support Face Unlock since the pixel 4 and pixel 4 XL. However, unlike those older phones, the pixel 7 cannot use Face, Unlock as a secure biometric scan. That means you can use it to unlock your phone and that’s it. You’Ll still need to use the fingerprint scanner or your PIN for things like approving contactless payments.
Finally, one of the most prominent upgrades with the pixel 7 is the introduction of the new tensor G2 chipset. This is only the second time ever that Google has launched its own custom mobile processor. However, just like the pixel 7 itself, tensor G2 – isn’t all that different from the old tensor. It is the same core architecture with only two upgrades, a new modem and a new TPU just to confirm. There are actually three changes this year with the Google tensor G2 processor. The Third change is a GPU which jumps to the Mali g710.
Hopefully, it’s a little bit better than last year’s model, but these new additions, along with Google’s software enhancements, should address at least some of the issues we’ve had with the original tensor, which includes overheating and excessive power drain, to name a few. So that’s the pixel 7., but what about the pixel 7 Pro once again, there are not too many surprises here either. The pixel 7 Pro has essentially all the hardware and features of the pixel 7 and still looks a lot like the pixel 6 Pro, albeit with that new metal camera bar. However, that’s the only significant design difference this time around just check out this spec sheet.
The display is exactly the same as the pixel 6 Pro, with the same QHD plus resolution, the same 120, hertz refresh rate, the same dimensions and even the same pixel density. The only major difference for the display is that it can get much brighter with an advertised peak of 1500 nits, which is nearly double the 800 nits Peak. We saw on the pixel 6 Pro Elsewhere on the sheet. We see a lot of the same specs as the pixel 6, Pro 12 gigabytes of RAM up to 512 gigabytes of storage in certain countries, the same battery size as the pixel 6.
Pro you get the idea, unlike with the pixel 7, though, Google did upgrade the rear camera on the pixel 7 Pro the 50 megapixel main sensor is the same as what we saw on the pixel 6 and the pixel 7, but the 12 megapixel Ultra wide got A slight upgrade that gives it a wider field of view than any pixel phone ever at 125.8 degrees. Meanwhile, the telephoto lens, which remember does not appear on the regular pixel 7 at all, also saw a new Jump in quality. Google spent a lot of time during the launch talking about the zoom capabilities of the pixel 7 Pro with it, using the power of tensor G2 to combine Optical and digital elements to create what Google says is its best telephoto. Yet we’ll need to test that out. For ourselves, but it seems like it could be a significant upgrade for you mobile photographers out there also the pixel 7 Pro is the only one of the two that is going to have macro mode, which is something that might be important for you. Finally, for our videographer friends, the pixel 7 Pro was able to shoot 4K at 60 frames per second on all of its cameras. Yes, even the selfie camera.
The regular pixel 7 can do this too, but come on. If you want the best pixel for shooting video you’re, definitely going to want the pro. So how much is one of these phones going to set you back? Well, we’ve got good news for you.
Google has kept the pixels us pricing the same as last year, which means the pixel 7 starts at 599 US Dollars, while the pixel 7 Pro starts at 899 US Dollars. Another spot of good news is that the pixel 7 Series will be available in more countries, including India, where we haven’t seen a flagship pixel launch since the pixel 3, which is crazy to even think about the pixel 7 and pixel 7. Pro both come in obsidian, which is a dark gray or even black, depending on how you look at it.
Both phones also come in snow, which is a soft white. The pixel 7 has a unique color called lemongrass, which is a pastel yellow with some shades of green, while the pixel 7 Pro comes in a color called Hazel, which is like a grayish green.
