Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Acer Iconia a500 gaming and performance test”.
Okay, hey youtube um, just gon na do a quick video on the acer, iconia tab a500. I’M just gon na show you basically what it’s capable of okay. Well, i just recently i got a um update. It came with 3.0.1, and now it’s 3.1, i’m just gon na show you uh game performance is about the same between the two, but scrolling is definitely smoother. You can’t actually play things like nova, 2 hd and combat arms.
They’Re just force clothes. I don’t really know why there’s quite a few tegra games, you can play well the games which are made especially for tegra integra too. Let me show you this plays very smoothly, as you can see, and the graphics very nice. So oh try that again.
Oh no! Oh god, okay yeah! Well, i don’t really want to see that anymore. Okay, uh fruit, ninja, it’s nice! What’S nice on this, one is actually there’s even a multiplayer mode. It wasn’t on one of the old ones, but i’m quite sure just a quick single play. Same kind of thing, multi-touch works really well, you can use three, but you you can. You can even use. You can use five. If you want to not that it’ll.
Do you any good, but it’s got good, capacitive very smooth. You know it’s nice experience. I guess good sound as well.
Actually what else uh i’ve downloaded this. This is probably the game with the best graphics on this. It’S yeah, it’s another one of those tegra games. What i’ve actually found is a lot of the normal market apps that are meant for phones. They don’t really work on this they’re they’re kind of they’re just stretched out and they don’t really work i’ll. Give you an example in a bit i mean look at this: it’s pretty nice, oh suck, but yeah there’s very few games that will actually lag on this.
So you know it’s quite a nice little gaming machine. Oh guys, i’m going to quit this before it’s embarrassing. So yeah um, so let me show you doodle jump. Uh originally meant for the uh, like phones and stuff it. This one is okay, actually to be honest, but it it’s a little bit weird. You don’t really need to see.
All of it just need to see that, so you notice, the platforms are very wide kind of all, looks a bit weird springs and everything are a bit small. It’S actually quite hard to get them. You know it’s all right. It’S playable so yeah um, but a lot of the games. It just stretches them. They look a bit well, not a bit very pixelated.
It doesn’t really work but yeah. There’S plenty of options for games i’ll, show you one more um now. This is an example of one that does work zombieville. It does work on mobiles and the tabs. It’S actually quite fun game, a nice frame rate not looking really good. Okay. Yes, oh oh wow, that’s good! I lost it. Okay, so so yeah, it’s good tablet.
I do recommend it: it’s not not a bad price i’ll quickly show you the camera as well, actually and turn the lights on so yeah. It’S quite a nice camera on it. I don’t know how well you can see it, but five megapixel back camera, which also has auto focus and led flash. So you know you can take quite snap quite nice pictures, but this one i just took zoom in pinch to zoom yeah and there’s a two megapixel front camera which is actually you know it’s kind of for skype and video calls but um big problem.
I actually had was that the camera, the front camera is there on the side just uh here, it’s a bit awkwardly placed because it’s kind of you know unless you chat with your left ear. It’S gon na cause you a few problems on skype and google, chats and stuff. Like that.
I mean the case doesn’t really help it kind of blocks it a little bit, but i need a case because i’ll wreck it so i’ll summarize um when you get the tab, it’s probably it’s. Actually it’s quite laggy in places but get the update. Um well, yeah get the tab because it’s very good uh there’s quite a lot of choice of apps.
You know they’ll run well, you know it’s good graphics fast and it’s practical, so i mean youtube and stuff so yeah. It’S got this very nice kind of. I don’t know what is it circle or something? God knows, but yeah. It’S good and you’ve got the uh okay, so yeah um good tab buy it. You know, use it fast, good, graphics, good games. Okay, thank you for watching rate, subscribe.
