Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Is the Oneplus 5 the Fastest Phone in the World?”.
So those on plus five is finally here and on paper it in with powerful smartphone in the entire world, but does that translate into real-world performance in this article we’re going to test it against the Galaxy S II Plus and the Germany city, notably the other two Contenders for this position could have being said. Let’S get started so we’re going to give these off with a boot test, which I know is not necessarily representative of real-world Android uses performance, but it’s a pretty good benchmark II things off, and what we find is that the music’s in the Whomper v are almost Exactly tied, whereas a galaxy s 8 plus, is quite a bit behind so next up I wanted to test UI performance and we’re decided to do this was to see how long it took me to find the new gap icon in each of the different phones and Third, you can see in the 1 5 it does it far faster. It’S not necessarily less click, but the operating system is just a more fluid and everything feels more responsive, and this is one of big advantages of oxygen OS. And I try this test multiple times with different applications.
And after rebooting the fed’s, because I was a little bit surprised with the result that the results were consistent, what happens is the s8 and the oneplus are actually tied, but the me6 is way faster than both of them. Now the Messick’s has a staff of 35 and 60 bytes of ram and therefore on paper, the one plus five with the same chipset, but just eight gigabytes of RAM bureaucrat, would be faster. But it’s just not the case and comparing the s8 to the one plus five, it seems like having the X, not eighty, eight.
Ninety five alone is enough to compensate for having four gigabytes left of RAM. Yes, it only has four gigs. That’S really that it’s half surround that the oneplus 5 has, which is crazy, and the only real way this can be explained is if the software on the music from the galaxy of seed is just more optimized and maybe the storage performance a little bit faster.
So we can do now is take a look at the quadric benchmark which a little bit of an old one is kind of an aging benchmark, but it’s pretty good we’re testing gaming performance or is potential gaming performance. It looks at 2d and 3d graphics. I’M interesting enough: it’s beaten by quite a big margin by the Galaxy s8.
This goes to show that the extra RAM isn’t nearly enough to compensate in terms of gaming when compared to the Exynos 88-90. Five that adjust a superior chip for the surface, so diving in 22 reveals yet another surprising result, but one that might help to actually explain why the oneplus isn’t performing quite as well as it should be. So even given its apparently superior specifications, it loses out to the me6.
The cpu performance is roughly on par, but oddly it’s RAM performance is lower. So it seems that even though we’ve got more around here, the RAM isn’t actually working as quickly as the random jamming mu6, and this isn’t a small victory or down two margin of error. The music is a good fight descent faster than one plus 5, and the oneplus is about a 2 % faster than the Galaxy s8. According to this benchmark, so moving over to a geek bench for score, which is not the most interesting benchmark to watch so I’ll move it over pretty quickly.
We find that the oneplus is in last place in both single and multi-core benchmarks and the SAT music they’re kind of trading blows at the top. It’S such a shame that this specifications don’t really seem to be translating to real-world performance for the smartphone, so something I also did was try the multitasking performance on all of them. I just opened up the whole series of demanding applications and games. I just kept flicking between them and see if I noticed first of all any lag, but also if they were kept within the memory and between v3 firms. The most awesome performance is more or less indistinguishable. They all kept the same number of applications in memory and took roughly the same time to load each one, and I guess that doesn’t relie sound like such a bad thing, they’re all very good at what they do, but I suppose in a sense, this is a Bit of a defeat for the oneplus I mean 8 gigabytes of RAM is ever going to be useful. It’S in a test like this, but even then what performance is good. If it’s indistinguishable from the phone with 4 gigabytes of RAM, there has to be just a little bit disappointing device. Don’T get me wrong. The oneplus either is very, very fast phone.
It’S just that. The specification don’t seem to be entirely representative of the performance you would get on the phones right now. Now it is entirely possible and even slightly probable – that this point will improve over time. The other two smartphones have had plenty of time to update and mature their ecosystems and therefore are likely to be more optimized as a result.
