The Next Generation of Wi-Fi?

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “The Next Generation of Wi-Fi?”.
So those welcome to what is being termed as the next generation of Wi-Fi. This is a set of completely connected hubs that work with each other to ensure you how these strongest most stable signal, whatever you are, and how this video is sponsored by BT, but as always, that is not going to change my opinions at all left itself. It so the kissing question is a BT hole home Wi-Fi. It is a kit costing just under two hundred pounds with the goal of vastly increasing not only the speed, but also the stability of your Wi-Fi connection, starting off with a quick unboxing. The packaging itself is absolutely massive. It’S a well-built, substantial box, which is quite reassuring, taking the disks out for the first time, you’re going to notice they’re brawler heavy bits of kit. So there are two disks, as the company calls them on the top layer and taking that off, which reveals a quick set-up guide. It’S just a single sheet that guides you through downloading the application and completing the setup and then right at the bottom. We’Ve got the third disc, as well as three mains adapters and little Ethernet cable in terms of how I actually feel about the build quality. Overall impressions are very positive and it sounds the way it looks. It’S different in a good way, while the adapters and discs are made entirely out of this fairly thin plastic, it does feel quite thoroughly constructed.

There’S no noticeable creaking at all when handling the product, and it actually is a very heavy item primarily because of this completely metal stand at the bottom, which is made that way. So the disc doesn’t fall over. It’S got an unusual spherical design, but at the same time it’s clean, they’ve managed to minimise cables and the way it’s designed makes it fit in just about any type of room. So most of the setup revolves around the application.

You simply download it on your iPhone or on your Android and within about ten minutes, you’ll be completely ready to go so the first disk you need to plug in the ethernet cable, as well as the mains adapter, but for the other two disks after that, it’s Just the mains you need and because the idea of plugging in three separate devices will be quite a novel one for a lot of us. The application does do a good job of guiding you through the process. So after you plugged in the first disk move around your house with your smartphone and the Apple, a she tell you, where is a good location? To put it and that’ll be a combination of something which is far enough away from the original, so that is boosting of signal, but close enough, so that it’s still actually in range now within about 30 seconds of plugging in the second and the third disc. The application picks them up connects to them and then asks you to define them. So you say, for example, one of them is in the study. One of them is in the bathroom, and one of them is in the kitchen, served some pretty vigorous testing.

The range on these discs is good, but it’s not fantastic. So I’m doing all the testing in a three floor house and the way it’s been working so far is each desk manages to cover one floor and nothing too much more too much less. Having said that’s, something which seems like a disadvantage was actually a blessing in disguise, because these disks each serve one floor. Placing one on each of those floors means you have a perfect signal wherever you are, it is a pretty good, but not perfect.

Job of eliminating dead spots, but it will work better in slightly smaller homes. So in terms of overall impressions of the app it’s a pretty robust experience, it has almost every single one of the errors you could be getting covered and it even has a helpline number for you to dial each of the disks. Are they removable rear panel and taking that off reveals on one side the information you need to set up the Brutus on the other side, a bit of light troubleshooting? So after spending a total of about half an hour, which includes not only the setup but also relocating a couple of the discs to get a better connection, I was really happy with the result. Not only was I getting 60 megabytes per second consistently up from about 50 from my past Rooter, but, more importantly, and the most significant change was the stability of the Wi-Fi, so you’ll notice, as you walk around the house with your connected device, they are constantly being Bounced from being connected to one to being connected to a different one, so the routers will constantly be communicating with each other to try and efficiently allocate the devices in your house to be connecting to always the best signal and for the most part, it’s been a Very positive experience say guys that is the whole home Wi-Fi and, whilst individually each one of these discs can only really serve a floor on its own. It’S when they work together to span a larger area and allocate devices so that you get this lossless Wi-Fi experience that you end up with a really good result so guys. I really hope you enjoyed the video and what that being said.
