7 Crazy Things you can do with your Smartphone!

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “7 Crazy Things you can do with your Smartphone!”.
I’M actually really excited right now, so guys today we’re taking a look at literally the craziest things you can do on your smartphone, so these are primarily tested on android, but a lot of them also work on ios. If that’s your preferred platform and with that being said, let’s get started, [ Applause ], so did you know that your smartphone can actually see invisible infrared radiation so typically, at least to the human eye? Infrared is actually outside the visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum, which means to the human eye. We literally cannot detect it at all. So what tends to happen with high-end cameras is that the companies build in a filter and that filter prevents the camera, seeing anything that is outside the visible light spectrum the same as the human eye. And the idea is that, by seeing what the human eye sees, the camera will better be able to capture a more realistic photo and fortunately because it’s kind of cool that is completely skipped out on almost every smartphone camera.

And so what you can do is open up the camera, app point, your phone at a remote and then press any button on the remote. So that means that, if you’re having a problem with your tv, you can instantly diagnose whether or not the problem is with the remote or with your cables or your tv box answer. Something else which i find completely fascinating. Is the ability to use your smartphone’s camera to find out the distance of objects from you and their actual size, and so by installing an application called smart measure? You can actually use basic trigonometry to actually find out these facts about the objects.

So you simply install the app you boot it up and you tell the phone what your height is and what you do initially is line up the crosshairs in the app with the feet of the object, you’re trying to measure and it’ll use information from your phone’s Sensors such as the amount you’ve angled your phone down to do this in order to actually find out how far away the object is and therefore how large it must be. So we all know that with whatsapp web, you can essentially carry on a whatsapp conversation on your phone straight away on your computer, but what you might not have known is that you can do exactly the same with sms messages. Installing something called mighty text means you can actually send sms text messages from your computer without even being close to your smartphone. The application also lets you see just about everything you want to on your smartphone, such as notifications from other applications, as well as things like battery level and your contacts.

So there’s a bit of an up and coming trend dash cameras. Everyone is running around buying dash cameras installing them in their cars to make sure that if they’re ever in an accident, they can find out who’s responsible dash cameras can be used to prove you’re innocent in a tricky situation or just to record the number plate of Someone causing a problem, but what people aren’t considering, is that your phone is the perfect dash cam, so downloading the application called autoboy essentially gives it every feature that your dash cam has and way way more. It supports continuous recording, which means your phone can constantly be. Recording footage and, at the same time, deleting footage that is older, so you can always have the last 10 minutes stored on file. It also lets you record in the background, which means anything you wanted to do on your phone in the car. You can continue to do so. You can pay your phone in your car, play your phone’s playlist through your car speakers and still be recording the whole journey and, of course, your phone’s camera is probably the best portable camera. Most people are gon na have on them.

Like any reasonably high-end phone right now can record in 4k, which is far more than you can say for most dash cams, and this actually links to another really interesting application. I found out about the other day and that’s called hudway, and what you do after installing the application is simply place your phone on your windshield and it will project a heads-up display onto the front of your car glass. So it can tell you with spoken word and a 3d visualization. What kind of route you need to be taking? You can add widgets to it as well, so it can tell you how far you are from your destination in terms of miles kilometers or even time, and the good news here is there is zero extra equipment required.

You literally just need your smartphone, but unfortunately, on the flip side, what that means is this only works at night time? Projecting your phone’s display onto that glass means that it has to be a very, very bright display for it to work in the day and so with almost every smartphone. You can rule that out. So i would say this next: one is the most interesting one on the entire list. This is an application called boink.

Once you install it, it allows you to use your phone’s unused computing power to contribute to scientific research. So when you install the application, you pick certain projects that you care about, that you want to donate, to kind of like a charity without actually costing you anything directly. And so what happens is whenever your phone is in the charging socket. But it’s fully charged and when it’s connected to wi-fi it’ll just be crunching numbers the whole time. It’S such an innovative way of actually using this spare power for a good cause and the way the application is set up to only activate when your device is fully charged, means that it’s not actually going to put a drain on your battery power or your performance.

So we all love do not disturb it’s amazing that, with one flick of a switch, you can instantly mute all notifications, but at the same time there are often some notifications we want to receive whilst blocking others, and so did. You know that your smartphone actually has a more complex do not disturb mode which tends to be known as priority mode, and what this can do, i think, is one of the most useful smartphone features that has been completely hidden away. So, for example, you can set up important contacts, people who they’d only contact you in the case of an emergency and obviously, if there is an emergency, you want to be reachable.

You can also let people who repeat call a certain number of times bypass. Your do not disturb feature so, for example, if someone’s called three times, they’ve probably got something quite important to say and another cool thing you can do as a result of this is you can flag contacts so calls from certain numbers can either be instantly rejected or Sent straight away to voicemail, so if you’ve signed yourself up to some sort of calling list, you don’t want to be a part of or you’ve just got some really annoying naggy friends, then you can send them straight to your voicemail and read their message another time. So guys, i really hope you enjoyed the video.

That was something a little bit different. Let me know how you liked it and, with that being said, i’m susan boss and signing out wow .
