Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “3d Printed Frisbee Cam”.
Nice, oh so i’m raymond chan, i i’m down in menlo park here in the bay area, yeah, i’m jen, chen, i’m down to palo alto and the guy who’s. Not here is john gentilla who lives in the east bay. So this year, we’re here at maker faire with frisbee cam, which you see right here and frisbee cam – is us putting a camera on a frisbee captures the perspective of the frisbee in play, so frisbee cam is actually a really simple device. We’Ve got an off-the-shelf camera here. On top we’ve got a couple of 3d printed pieces and then a skateboard bearing in the middle, and then, when you throw it this big foam fin we have in the back, keeps the camera pointed straight.
Why do you like to come to maker faire? Well, you know it’s our third year here at maker faire and it’s always super exciting. It’S great to be able to see lots of people and see people really enthusiastic about the projects we’re working on um, it’s great to see. People like see, frisbee, cam or the other projects. We’Ve done and go back and say you know what i know i could do something really cool to improve on that or add to that, so it’s really cool to spill that energy yeah.
For me, it’s really the fact that you get to see all this other new stuff and it inspires you to want to try other things right. So like just seeing the giant little octopus there, you know like those kinds of things, are they open your eyes to the fact that you’re like? Oh, i didn’t realize you could do that in your own garage? Absolutely so absolutely and that’s how we got started with this yeah coming to maker faire, you can go to frisbeecam.com and we have a lot of our plans up there. This is something you can do yourself and uh. Basically, our goal is so that, basically, just like everybody else in maker faire, you can make your own stuff. So that’s a very, very important part of this awesome. .
