Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “10 BEST faces for Galaxy Watch and Pixel Watch!”.
For the past few years, I’ve avoided using third- party watch faces on my Galaxy watch and my pixel watch because they’re just annoying, they often drain the battery very fast. They don’t show proper Health stats and data, and sometimes they also want me to install a companion app on my phone for some reason, but things are changing now. Watch faces are getting better and I have 10 of my personal favorites to share with you before. We start: let’s talk about how third party watch faces started getting better well. In May of last year, Google announced watch face format, which is essentially a bit of a preset template for watch, face designers to use basically, if you’re a Dev, you adopt this format to make sure your watch face, behaves like a native one. It won’t drain the battery more than necessary. It will show people their health stats and their data properly. It will be customizable directly on the watch and inside the pixel watch app. If you have that – and it will generally have a smaller installation size, because it’s just an XML file, so what’s the catch well because they follow a set of parameters made by Google watch faces developed with this format.
Generally, look a bit similar and a bit boring unless the designer has gone to great lens, to make them more unique. They’Re also tough, to find there’s no section in the Play Store dedicated to them and it’s not easy to tell if a face was developed with the format or not unless a developer explicitly mentions it somewhere. But I’ve been doing doing some digging and I found 10 different cool and interesting faces built with watch face format. These should work with your pixel watch 1 and 2. Your Galaxy watch 4 5 and six, your OnePlus Watch 2 and any other watch running weos. 4. Let’S start with my favorite digital watch face at the moment, sport XR by AMOLED watch faces the bright gradient colors and the dotted pattern in the background caught my eye when I first saw it and I still just find it utterly cool, I keep switching between the Different shades of blue that fit my pixel watch’s band, but I’ll be honest. The green, the red and the orange shades are spectacular too. The heart rate complication on the left is fixed, but since I always choose that on any watch face, I just don’t mind it at all. The right and top stats are customizable, though, and all four app shortcuts too. The downside is that I can’t change the text there, so I have to remember that I set app one to Spotify app two to Google home the timer to Google Play and well at at least I said the alarm to alarm and for the always on display. You can show everything, but I opted for the simple clock only design.
Moving on to my favorite analog watch face at the moment. It’S called nothing fancy, but to be fair, it is quite fancy. I love the design and I love the bunkers number of customizations available here. There are 30 color schemes, eight different indexes, five hands; eight, always on display options and a setting to show or hide the second sticker.
And on top of that, you get eight customizable info slots, four big ones in the middle and four small text, ones on the ring around it. I’Ve been using this face for a while, and I just keep discovering new looks with it every single time. I try to customize it.
My only issue is that it’s sometimes buggy and it doesn’t always open in the pixel watch app. So when that happens, I have to do all the edits on my wrists. The next watch face by S, so Creations is very, let’s call it. Google inspired it’s perfect for me, though, because I really like the official digital bold watch face on my pixel watch, but I want more info with it. This adds four customizable complications around the same design. I chose to show the date the battery steps and heart rate.
That’S everything I need. There are 18 color options here and the always on display shows everything, but in a battery friendly way, a 10 out of 10. All around number four minimal digital watch by recreative.
I love the big time here and the fact that it has tons of info without looking too busy, but some of the data slots are locked. The date notifications, St heart rate and Battery, cannot be changed, but once again, these are all complications that I show on any watch face. So the fixed Choice works for me. I usually go for the weather and the next event in the two empty slots. You also get two app shortcuts on the left that you can show or hide. The second sticker can be turned off and the always on display is simple.
With the time date and Battery creation que makes a lot of complex watch faces, but one of my favorites is the simpler analog 082. This one has an except exeptionally Sleek, always on display. I, like the inner Shadow around it, which blends the bright index numbers perfectly into the black bezels of my watch. The clock hands aren’t the best, in my opinion, but being able to assign a different color to them. Is a nice perk. The complications in the middle are sadly fixed to the battery heart rate, distance and next event, but you can add four different complications on each side.
I find that too busy, though, so I usually go for the left and right side only and leave the top and bottom empty. It’S the big numbers that make this watch look so good, so removing more of them just ruins it. For me, going back to the Google inspiration, material stack looks like an official pixel watch face, even though it isn’t, but with two extra complications and two shortcuts on the left side.
Everything is customizable here and it can get a bit busy if you fill every slot. So I usually keep the shortcuts empty, but I like that. I have the option to go overboard. If I need more – and my only request would be for a simpler, always on display without the left side, complications and shortcuts, because this one looks a bit busy. In my opinion, the gradient, colors and pattern background on this seventh watch face. Look a lot like the first face. I showed you, but this is made by another developer.
There is a ton of info here, but the thin fonts and lines help a lot in making it look Sleek. Sadly, though, almost everything is fixed in this watch, so you have to be okay with the battery the date distance steps heart rate there at all times, you do get two customizable complications on the bottom and three app shortcuts, though, and the always on display is very Well done you just can’t beat the Simplicity of white on black typograph is the simple, but very customizable analog watch face that everyone should have in their collection. You get eight clock, fonts six index Styles, two hand, shapes 20 color themes and three customizable complications. I like that, I can go from a classic font to a funky one to a simple one, uh very easily.
I would have loved a few extra choices for the clock hands though the prime home watch face by pra design is made for anyone who needs a lot of shortcuts on their watch. There are nine of them here. Those six are fixed to messages, calls settings, heart rate, music and the calendar three of the shortcuts are customizable, plus the three complications on the side and the one on the bottom. What I like here is that the background isn’t just one solid color and there are 10 different icon packs to choose from to go with every design you go with. The always on displ could be a bit more elaborate, though right. Now it’s just the time with a black overlay on on everything else, and the very last SW face is really made for the pixel Fanboys between the fonts the pill shape on the bottom and the different colors. This makes me feel like I’m looking at my pixel home screen, there’s even an all dark mode. If you prefer that I love how dense this face is without looking too busy and how customizable it is.
The battery and date are fixed, but everything else is yours to choose. That’S eight different slots to change between icons and stats and text and everything you want to pick and there you you have it 10 different watch faces and they’re all kind of unique in their own ways. For now, these 10 faces have gone into my personal rotation, but I recommend you check out the developer pages of each of these because they’re doing great work, and there are many other options to pick from watch. Face format is still relatively new, though so I hope we see even more watch faces and more developers using an adopting this format in the future.
