So another official streaming application just now released on Android TV, giving you access to lots of different VOD content as well as live TV channels. Now this application is absolutely free, doesn’t require any kind of registration, no usernames, no passwords. It doesn’t need any kind of VPN. As you can see, it has a fully working program guide, so you know exactly what’s on now, what’s coming up next and now, with this updated version, they’ve also added in VOD video on demand content. The question is: is the application any good well in this article today, let me show you exactly what this application is, how to get here. Let me just take a moment of your time to show you the what’s coming to the new tduk app killer. If I start that up – and this is available both for your Android TV devices as well as your Amazon, Fire Sticks, fight, TVs, fight, TV cubes, and we can now see, we have a setup whitelist option and what this means is. You can now individually sell whichever applications you want whitelisted, so there won’t be full stopped.
So if I click on connect, let’s click on setup whitelist, and this should now show me all of the applications on my Nvidia Shield Pro or whichever device you’re using and whichever application I always want to keep alive. So let’s try that now is killed a applications. I can click on X here and if I now open up the background, apps and process list, we can see expressvpn and IVC have now not been terminated. So this update is going to be coming out in the next few days and you can now get that granular control and choose whichever applications you want to leave running in the background, and everything else will be four stopped with that. One click freeing up memory, speeding up your device and just giving you an overall, better experience on your Android TVs as well as your Amazon devices.
So the application is the brand new version of Airy TV now. This was previously only available on the Amazon devices, but it’s now been released on the official Android TV Google Play Store. Now, when you start the application for the first time we can see it takes you straight into a fully working program guide where you can see the different channels all sorted out in different categories. You can see exactly what’s on now, what’s coming up next and you also get to see a small preview window, so here we can see. We have some baseball content now when you do click on a channel after a few seconds, you will see that preview in the top left and if you then press the select button, this will then allow you to full screen that content and we start working absolutely Fine now, even in this view, you can also press down on the remote, and this will then automatically load the next Channel.
So this is some other izone sports content. We have some basketball there. We have some baseball now, if you press the select button.
This then takes you into the full screen mode. I can now press back now before I show you the channel list. We can see that when I press the context key, this then takes me to the menu.
So the first thing in the menu is the TV section where we’re at now, but they’ve also added in VOD. So this is the video on demand content. If I click on that, this will then take you to some older movies.
We can see. We have some Western some horror, different content, which you can then enjoy with one click. So yeah definitely don’t expect any of the recent releases or recent content. But if you are looking for some classic movies, you will find some stuff in here.
Okay, so back to the channels we can see, we have a sports category which has about 10 channels in there. So we have some baseball. We have some poker, we have skiing, we have MMA fight Network which looks like some wrestling or w-e-w or WCW. We’Ve got some older wrestling, we’ve got fishing, then you have TV shows. You have about 10 channels in here. Maybe a bit more you’ve got Sci-Fi TV.
Then you’ve got some movie channels. I mean I’m just whizzing through this. Now, just so, I can show you the content, but they’ve got about 10 or so different movie channels. Then you’ve got some uh reality. Tv you’ve got some USA Networks, then you’ve got the travel and food section here, for example, we’ve got the Chef’s Kitchen.
We give that a few seconds we can see that in the preview and again, if you press the select button and that content is working absolutely fine, and that always is the thing about this official streaming. Applications is because they’re official they won’t go offline, you’ll be able to get some good quality content and you won’t ever see anything like buffering or stuttering, because these official applications have that back-end infrastructure, which means we can enjoy all of this content buffer free. Let’S go back, then we have some news channels, documentaries, music channels and a few kids, so not a massive selection of channels.
But again, if you are somebody, that’s looking for official applications. Official streaming applications this application, because it doesn’t require any kind of registration, doesn’t need. Any VPN has an okay number of channels, but it does give you that fully working program guide works great on your fire, stick and Android TV devices and again, if you’re, looking for just another application to add to your list, it may be worthwhile checking out now To get this on, all of your devices just head over to your home, go to the search icon and you can now just type in the word Airy, let’s type that in and you’ll then see Airy TV.
